Justin Theroux Raves About His First Child with Nicole Brydon Bloom
Justin Theroux is filled with awe over his 3-week-old newborn.
“It’s challenging to encapsulate [fatherhood],” Theroux, 54, mentioned during the Thursday, April 23, episode of Today. “I just adore looking into his eyes. It’s such a beautiful experience. Right now, it’s all about quietly tip-toeing around the house with the intermittent crying. It’s wonderful.”
The Running Point star and his wife, Nicole Brydon Bloom, announced earlier this week that they have recently welcomed their first child.
“He’s here 🕊️ We are overflowing with love,” Theroux and Bloom, 32, captioned a shared Instagram photo of their newborn on Saturday, April 18.
Theroux further expressed his joy about the couple’s new addition during the third hour of Today on Thursday, humorously stating that Bloom is “performing the Herculean feat of feeding” their baby boy.
“It’s far better [than I envisioned],” added Theroux. “Other dads told me, ‘Just wait until you meet this child. You’re going to fall head over heels.’ You always have that doubt, wondering, ‘Is that truly going to happen?’”
He went on, “The moment he arrives, everything in your life shifts around this little being, and your heart expands in the most beautiful way, so I’m genuinely happy.”
Theroux, who was previously married to Jennifer Aniston from 2015 to 2018, began a relationship with Bloom in 2023. They later married in March 2025 during a picturesque ceremony in Mexico.
“We desired a destination that felt private, romantic, and extremely relaxed,” Bloom shared with Vogue at the time. “The highlight? We had a full moon all weekend. It ascended right behind us on the beach on Thursday, creating a sense of completion from the proposal to now.”
Theroux remarked that their wedding was “wonderful.”
“Ceremonies with vows revolve around the words they embody,” he reflected to Vogue. “And they’re better left unsaid here. Nevertheless, the officiant shared some beautiful thoughts, and my wife was just… incredibly moving. I was very touched.”
Theroux and Bloom announced in December 2025 that they were expecting their first child.
“I’ve always dreamed of being a mom. I adore children,” the Paradise actress shared with The Hollywood Reporter in February. “I’ve always looked forward to this stage in my life, and surely Justin has, too. It’ll have its challenges with work and everything, but I’m just ecstatic, genuinely happy.”
