Kyle Cooke from Summer House Reveals His Skincare Tips

Kyle Cooke looks and feels youthful.

The Summer House star, 43, shared his skincare routine and how he maintains his youthful appearance during an interview with Bustle published on Tuesday, April 28. “It’s been amusing how many people are curious about what I’m using,” Kyle mentioned, referencing the social media buzz surrounding his look.

“When Amanda [Batula] lived with me, we would receive numerous PR boxes, so I had the chance to pick and choose what products I wanted to use,” he added.

Kyle, who announced his separation from Amanda, 34, in January after four years of marriage, revealed he has made it a “habit” to use a daily cleanser and moisturizer.

“Cetaphil has excellent options for both,” he explained. “As a guy, I prefer something unscented — I just want something effective, so every day I use a daily hydrating lotion. If you have some acne, they offer options with salicylic acid.” Before filming a confessional, Kyle mentioned he sometimes applies a bit of self-tanner.

Regarding his daily mantra, Kyle noted, “If I act young, I need to look young.” He added, “I’m sure genetics play a role; my dad looks young, and people tell me I do too.”

Kyle emphasized the importance of sunscreen in his routine.

“I film every summer, and I prefer a product that’s nongreasy and doesn’t leave a white residue,” he shared with the publication. “Neutrogena has some great options. There are times when I think, ‘I don’t want any sun.’ I’ll use something as high as SPF 70 since I already have a bit of a summer base tan.”

Kyle also mentioned he doesn’t “believe” in a post-breakup glow-up. “The news of my breakup with Amanda was made public, and I was definitely in the hot seat,” he stated.

Kyle admitted, “It’s been challenging to watch some of the clips from the summer. I truly feel terrible and need to take responsibility for my actions.” (In one season 10 scene, Kyle stated “F*** you” to Amanda after he felt unsupported. West, 31, comforted Amanda and has since confirmed their romance through a joint statement on Instagram.)

Fans were particularly taken aback by West and Amanda’s relationship because her close friend Ciara Miller is his ex. Moreover, sources exclusively informed Us Weekly in early April that West and Ciara had a brief fling “about three to four weeks ago.”

Kyle and the other cast members will discuss the love triangle in the upcoming season 10 reunion, scheduled to air later this year.
