Princess Eugenie, Daughter of Andrew, Expecting Baby No. 3
Princess Eugenie, the youngest daughter of former prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, is expecting her third child.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are thrilled to announce that they are anticipating the arrival of their third child, due this summer,” stated Buckingham Palace in a message to Us Weekly on Monday, May 4.
Eugenie, 36, is already the proud mother of sons August and Ernest with her husband Jack.
The announcement continued, “August (5 years old) and Ernest (2 years old) are eagerly looking forward to welcoming another sibling into the family.”
“His Majesty The King has been made aware of the joyous news and is very pleased,” the statement also mentioned, referring to Eugenie’s uncle King Charles III.
Eugenie shared the exciting update on Instagram early Monday, posting a photo of August and Ernest gazing at an ultrasound image with the caption, “Baby Brooksbank due 2026! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👶🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️.”

Eugenie announced her engagement to marketing executive Jack, 40, in January 2018 after a seven-year courtship. The couple married at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in October of that same year.
The royal gave birth to her first son, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, in February 2021. His middle name pays tribute to Eugenie’s grandfather, Prince Philip, who passed away that April.
Eugenie and Jack welcomed their second child, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, in May 2023. His middle name is a nod to Eugenie’s great-great-grandfather, King George V, who also had Ernest as a middle name.
The couple’s delightful news arrives six months after Charles moved to revoke Eugenie’s father, Andrew, 66, of his royal title amidst controversy related to his ties with the late Jeffrey Epstein. (In 2019, Andrew faced accusations of sexual abuse from Virginia Giuffre, whom he allegedly met through Epstein. He denies the claims.)
“Prince Andrew will now be referred to as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, until now, provided him with legal protection to continue residing there,” Buckingham Palace stated in a message shared with Us in October 2025. “Formal notice has been issued to surrender the lease, and he will transition to alternative private accommodations. These actions are considered necessary, notwithstanding his continued denial of the allegations against him.”
“Their Majesties wish to emphasize that their thoughts and deepest sympathies have been, and will continue to be, with the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse,” the statement reiterated.
In February, Andrew was detained on his 66th birthday on suspicion of misconduct in a public office.
“I have learned with deep concern the news regarding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and the suspicion of misconduct in public office,” Charles stated at that time. “What follows is a full, fair, and proper investigation by the appropriate authorities, and in this, they have our complete support and cooperation.”
