Sydney Sweeney and Richard Gere’s Son Homer Share a Steamy Scene on Euphoria

Prior to the demise of Jacob Elordi‘s character Nate in the second to last episode of Euphoria, his on-screen spouse, portrayed by Sydney Sweeney, engaged in a vivid intimate scene with Richard Gere‘s son, Homer.

In the episode that aired on Sunday, May 24, Cassie plotted with Maddy (Alexa Demie) on how to reclaim her OnlyFans audience to gather enough money to rescue Nate (Elordi) from a mobster to whom he owed a debt.

This plan led to Cassie becoming romantically involved with actor Dylan (Homer Gere), showcasing Sweeney in yet another topless scene. Afterward, Dylan unknowingly grabbed a glass of water with a scoop of ice that contained Nate’s finger, which Cassie was preserving.

Meanwhile, Cassie was secretly sharing a photo of herself with Dylan alongside a provocative message about their heated encounter on his social media, attempting to boost her sex work. The scheme initially succeeded — until it didn’t. Ultimately, Cassie and Maddy were unable to rescue Nate from the underground box he was trapped in, as a rattlesnake slithered in and ended his life.

“That was a cool way to go. Nate was a character who made many mistakes and dark choices,” Elordi, 28, stated in a segment following the episode. “It’s fascinating to see how it all culminated.”

Elordi recounted filming in a coffin, noting, “My shoulders were pressed against the sides, and I couldn’t move my arms. Then they would seal the lid, and it would become dark. Surprisingly, it was rather nice. It was quite peaceful in there.”

The stunt team emphasized the importance of ensuring that Elordi had enough oxygen in the box. They also commended him for agreeing to minimize his time inside the coffin.

Viewers might be astonished to learn that creator Sam Levinson “intended to film with a real snake,” incorporating both a rattlesnake and a boa constrictor in the scenes.

“The snakes were rattling, which was quite unsettling when you’re locked in a box,” Elordi recalled. “They had a boa constrictor with a fake rattler attached.”

He continued, “He was adorable. He was quite cuddly. So he sort of curled up next to me, which was nice. But he was also very sleepy. I had to give him a little nudge to get him to move up. And that was the extent of it.”
