Kenzie from Love Island USA Enjoys Reading the Bible While Stretching

Love Island USA’s Kenzie Annis recently shared an unexpected tidbit about performing splits while she reads the Bible.

“[The splits] have likely always been my go-to,” Kenzie mentioned on the Saturday, July 11, episode of Aftersun. “Each morning, I start by reading my Bible and talking to God. I pray first, then I stretch my hip flexors, which is quite beneficial for women.”

She added: “It alleviates stress. That’s why it’s so natural for me to drop down in the middle and keep bouncing.”

Host Tefi Pessoa directly inquired if Kenzie reads the Bible while doing splits, to which she responded, “Sometimes.”

Love Island USA is focused on creating couples — so who are the current Islanders together, and who has already split in the villa? Peacock’s hit dating show returned in June 2026 with contestants like Aniya Harvey, Beatriz Hatz, Bryce Alakai Dettloff, KC Chandler, Mackenzie “Kenzie” Annis, Melanie Moreno, Sincere Rhea, Sean Reifel, Trinity Tatum […]

Love Island USA first aired in the U.K. in 2002 before expanding globally with various spinoffs, including Love Island USA on Peacock. The show features different singles each season who must partner up to stay in the luxury villa.

The contestants, known as Islanders, live in isolation and are continually surveilled via camera. To remain on the show and contend for the $100,000 prize, they must be part of a couple.

After weeks filled with connections, breakups, and dramatic moments, the love experiment will conclude on Sunday, July 12. The remaining couples will be narrowed down to a final four for America to vote on.

Like previous seasons, each pair will have the opportunity to go on a private date. They will decide whether to stay together and write “vows” for each other before discovering who will be crowned the winning couple.

The envelope ceremony will unfold on finale night, with the couple that receives the highest public votes being handed two envelopes: one for each partner. One contains $100,000, while the other is empty. The partner with the money envelope will decide whether to share it with their partner, testing trust and commitment, or keep it all for themselves, prioritizing the prize over love.

The Love Island franchise started in the U.K. in 2002, then branched out globally with several spinoffs, including Love Island USA on Peacock. Each season, a new group of single Islanders are tasked with pairing off to stay in the villa for a shot at the $100,000 reward.

Season 8 has certainly seen its share of drama — both in Fiji and beyond. Earlier this season, Vasana Montgomery was removed from the show after problematic social media posts came to light, depicting her using a slur.

Additionally, Casa Amor addition Alannah Keyser was also pulled from the season due to backlash over a resurfaced clip suggesting she’d used a racial slur.

Similar controversies occurred during Season 7 when Yulissa Escobar exited shortly into the experience due to surfaced podcast clips showing her employing racial slurs.

Season 7’s Cierra Ortega also faced backlash for a similar incident, leading to her removal from the villa and an apology for her past actions.

Love Island USA concludes on Sunday, July 12, on Peacock.
