Sister Wives Season 21 Trailer Unveils Kody and Robyn’s Departure

A brand new season of Sister Wives is coming soon, and the cast is shocked that Kody Brown and his partner, Robyn Brown, are choosing to stay off-camera.

“So much has happened recently,” Janelle Brown remarks in TLC’s recently launched trailer on Monday, September 14. “I was honestly astonished when I heard the news.”

Meri Brown adds, “It actually caught me off guard when I found out that Kody and Robyn wouldn’t be returning to the show.”

While viewers will need to watch to understand the reasons behind Kody, 57, and Robyn, 47’s absence from the famed series, Janelle, 57, Meri, 55, and Christine Brown are eager to keep sharing their lives, both the ups and downs.

In the process, they may strengthen their bonds as they leave past conflicts behind.

“We were married to Kody, and there was always that hidden tension,” Janelle reflects on her connection with Meri. “Kody and Robyn openly accused me of trying to sideline Meri from the land deal. Kody tells Meri it’s my fault, and I’m left wondering, ‘Why do you believe Kody?’”

Luckily, the three women seem to be pulling together with a common goal: to create happy lives beyond Kody. In one memorable moment, the ex-wives melt down their jewelry from their former husband before exploring new romantic opportunities.

“My aim is to find out where I’ll be for the rest of my life,” Meri states, “and to explore different men along the way.”

After Janelle makes it apparent that she’s not interested in dating another handsome face, she meets a new man who sweeps her off her feet.

“His name is Peter,” she playfully reveals. “There are absolutely no red flags. Peter is just so kind.”

As for Christine, 54, she continues to work on her relationship with her husband David Woolley. Between their couple’s therapy sessions, the pair enjoys a game night filled with some playful yet steamy discussions.

According to TLC, this upcoming season will showcase each woman as she embraces her independence. Though their paths are distinct, the women stay linked through their shared history.

“Throughout the season, Christine, Janelle, and Meri gather for events and challenging discussions,” the network hints. “Old grievances and unresolved emotions don’t fade away instantly, and their relationships continue to develop as they figure out what moving forward means for each of them.”

Sister Wives is set to return to TLC on Sunday, October 4, at 10 p.m. ET.
