William and Kate Take Kids George and Charlotte to Wimbledon

Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton brought a lot of joy to this year’s Wimbledon festivities.

On the final day of the renowned tennis tournament, held on Sunday, July 12, the couple, both 44, attended alongside their oldest children, Prince George, 12, and Princess Charlotte, 11. (Their youngest, Prince Louis, 7, was notably absent that day.)

The Princess of Wales looked stunning in an elegant draped olive green dress, paired with nude pumps and drop earrings. To enhance her outfit, she wore a purple plaid bow on her lapel, symbolizing her patronage of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Both William and George were coordinated in navy suits, complementing Charlotte’s airy blue dress. The family gathered to watch the men’s singles match featuring Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev.

Given her role, Kate has been a regular presence at Wimbledon over the years. She even attended matches on July 2 and Saturday, July 11. This year’s appearance comes during her ongoing recovery from cancer, as she was diagnosed with an undisclosed type of the illness in 2024 and underwent treatment. She announced her remission in January 2025.

“It means a lot to the players and fans to see the royal family at Wimbledon,” noted tennis legend Andy Murray, in an interview with Hello! on Saturday, referring to Kate’s consistent presence at the event. “It’s part of the Wimbledon tradition, and the fans appreciate it, especially those from abroad. She is definitely a tennis enthusiast and I believe she plays a bit herself.”

Just a few weeks prior to her Wimbledon appearances, the princess successfully completed the challenging National Three Peaks Challenge, which involves climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland, and Wales.

“I undertook the National Three Peaks Challenge not just as a physical challenge but as a way to explore life beyond my diagnosis and give back,” she shared in an Instagram message last month. “The Royal Marsden [hospital] holds profound significance for me, and their care and expertise are transformative for many. Through this challenge, I wish to raise awareness of the deeper effects of serious illness and the importance of holistic healthcare.”
