House of Stassi EPs Give a Sneak Peek into Stassi and Beau’s Season 2 Adventure
Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark astonished fans with their candid depiction of marriage’s ups and downs in House of Stassi, and producers are eager for even more in season 2.
In an exclusive conversation with Us, executive producers David Marker and Renata Lombardo shared their thoughts on potential regrets stemming from the series’ successful inaugural season.
“I don’t think so. If you asked the cast, they might express some regret,” Lombardo stated to Us. “Maybe they think, ‘Did I need to reveal all of that?’ But they were all aware of what they were signing up for—laying it all out there.”
Lombardo anticipates shifts in dynamics once filming resumes, saying, “We’re documenting a particular moment in these individuals’ lives. By the time the show is broadcast, some months will have passed since filming.”
While the show has yet to receive an official renewal, producers are gearing up for changes.
“As we prepare for season 2, it will deal with the repercussions of revisiting those moments,” she noted. “They lived it once, but watching it play out again will be a new experience. It’s different; it’s like reliving it.”
Lombardo added: “In a perfect world, Stassi wouldn’t want to have another argument with her husband in front of the camera, but conflicts between spouses happen. So it’s likely they’ll have another exchange like that in season 2.”
House of Stassi, now streaming, provides an honest view of Stassi’s life post-Vanderpump Rules as she tries to juggle her personal and professional spheres, while Beau, 46, adapts to being a stay-at-home dad.
The producers recounted witnessing multiple tense moments unfold between Stassi, 38, and Beau.
“Every scene we film breeds conversations like, ‘What comes next?’” Marker explained to Us. “We have team members conversing with the cast throughout and managing emotions in real-time. At no point did we have individuals say, ‘Cut the cameras, we can’t record this.’”
Marker further stated, “Everything transpired naturally and authentically, but it never seemed to cross a line for anyone.”
Upon the introduction of Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant staff during the 2013 premiere of Vanderpump Rules, it was evident that everyone’s love lives were interconnected. Lombardo commended Stassi for her openness throughout the journey.
“There are a few standout scenes, but at the start of this process, Stassi told us, ‘I’m going to give everything for this show,’” Lombardo reminisced. “She understood the necessity of going all in. If she didn’t pour her heart into it, the audience wouldn’t connect.”
Lombardo confirmed that Stassi was transparent, stating, “I understand that if I had a disagreement with my husband recorded, it would be uncomfortable. But she expressed her truth because that was their reality. It’s raw and visceral, sometimes even uneasy to watch. However, that’s what resonates with our audience as we break the fourth wall and acknowledge the show’s self-awareness.”
