Is RoboCop 2 as profoundly subversive as its predecessor? Not quite. However, it remains an enjoyable action movie that pushes the idea of android law enforcers to its limits. The film retains its dose of sardonic humor and takes bold risks, such as casting an innocent-looking teenage boy as one of its villains. While it may feel somewhat campy and repetitive, RoboCop 2 certainly provides the dystopian sci-fi thrills.
