Joey King Stuns in Sheer Dress at Practical Magic 2 Premiere
Joey King elegantly showcased her lingerie.
The spotlight was firmly on King, 27, during the premiere of Practical Magic 2 in London on Wednesday, August 26, as she donned a sheer Miu Miu dress.
While posing on the red carpet, King revealed her butter yellow underwear, which featured boy shorts that offered a cheeky vibe along with the brand’s logo on the front. She completed the look with a matching bralette adorned with delicate lace at the hem.
In her role as Kylie Owens, the daughter of Sally Owens (Sandra Bullock), the actress wore her undergarments beneath a mesh frock boasting a square neckline, puffy sleeves, and an A-line silhouette. The dress was beautifully embellished with intricate yellow and white floral patterns. King ensured her fans received a full view of her ensemble by playfully lifting her skirt and twirling it around.
Styled by Jared Eng, she complemented her outfit with yellow strappy heels, a delicate ring, and flower-shaped diamond stud earrings.
King’s dazzling look was elevated further by her glam squad, hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos and makeup artist Allan Avendaño.
Her makeup highlighted glowy skin, shimmering purple eyeshadow blended into her crease, a flutter of mascara, and pink lips.
Giannetos detailed the process behind King’s “wicked bangs” and “magical” appearance in a press release shared with Us.
“Joey attended the world premiere of her new movie Practical Magic 2 in London dressed in the most stunning pastel lemon gown,” he noted. “I aimed to keep within the magical, slightly mysterious vibe of the film while enhancing her beautiful natural texture.”
In a spontaneous moment, Giannetos “decided to add some bangs.” For the rest of her auburn locks, he styled them in a “wispy” manner and brushed through for a “slightly mysterious” allure.
Initially, he applied volume mousse all over her hair to “create body and enhance her natural texture.”
Giannetos shared with Us that he diffused her hair using the TYMO AirHype dryer until it was “completely dry.”
“I then used the TYMO CurlPro Plus to add definition and shape throughout the hair,” he explained. “The CurlPro Plus is incredibly easy to use, creating the perfect curl in just seconds. I styled various sections of hair to achieve those beautifully done-but-undone curls that were polished yet effortlessly soft.”
Giannetos continued, “After setting the curls, I applied some dry shampoo for additional texture and gently brushed through the curls with a paddle brush to soften them.”
Practical Magic 2 will be released in theaters on September 11.
