Amanda Batula and West Wilson: “Still Going Strong” After Controversy

Summer House alumni Amanda Batula and West Wilson are wholeheartedly embracing their relationship status, even without the presence of cameras.

“Amanda and West are continuing to thrive as a couple and are getting serious,” an insider exclusively shares with Us. “They are aware of the skepticism from others, but they are doing exceptionally well and are genuinely happy.”

The former co-stars, who publicly confirmed their romance in late March, are eager to show the world their relationship after experiencing backlash. (Amanda, 35, was previously married to Summer House original Kyle Cooke before her relationship with 31-year-old West, who had a previous romance with their castmate and Amanda’s former best friend, Ciara Miller.)

“They both feel that the initial controversies have settled and believe they can now enjoy a normal relationship,” the source notes.

Amanda and West have began to publicly showcase their relationship throughout the summer, including a recent trip to New England.

“They enjoyed a week in Martha’s Vineyard together, reconnecting and spending quality time,” the insider mentions.

With the initial concerns regarding their relationship fading, Amanda continues to keep in touch with her estranged spouse, Kyle, 44. The two announced their separation in January after four years of marriage.

“Amanda and Kyle are on good terms and getting along,” the insider shares with Us.

Amanda is reportedly “in a better mental place,” the source adds, noting that she has been “more positive lately.”

Us has reached out to representatives for both Amanda and West for comments.

West Wilson commented on Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s marriage — and their tumultuous relationship — merely two months before he confirmed his romance with Amanda. “They are quite different individuals,” West, 31, disclosed to Us Weekly in January regarding Kyle, 43, and Amanda, 34, after their marital challenges were highlighted in a trailer for the upcoming season.

Amanda and West surprised many fans earlier this year when rumors began circulating in February about their connection, which developed right after Amanda’s separation from Kyle.

Although the pair initially refuted the speculation, they later acknowledged that their close friendship had blossomed into a romantic relationship.

This revelation stirred mixed reactions among the Summer House cast, with many of their co-stars supporting Kyle and Ciara, 30, who were both unaware of Amanda and West’s developing relationship.

During the season 10 reunion of Summer House, which aired in late May and early June, Amanda and West were scrutinized for their handling of the situation, with Ciara labeling Amanda a “snake in the grass.”

In a bonus episode titled Summer House: The Aftermath, Amanda and West attempted to clarify their relationship timeline. West confessed that he and Amanda became closer during summer 2025 but only became romantic in February with their first kiss.

“I haven’t reached a point where I can definitively say I’m in love, but I do have love for her,” West shared with Kyle during the special. “I have cared about her for quite some time.”

Following the public reactions to their relationship, Us confirmed in June that neither Amanda nor West will be returning for season 11 of Summer House, which is currently in production.

The status of Amanda’s participation in the spinoff In the City remains unclear as Bravo has not yet announced whether it will proceed with a second season.

“Tensions regarding West still linger,” an insider disclosed to Us in July, noting that “the cast might not be very receptive towards him” if Amanda decides to return.

Fans of Summer House pointed out the physical chemistry between Amanda Batula and West Wilson before they confirmed their relationship. While the spotlight was on Kyle Cooke after he referred to Amanda as a “f***ing dumbass bitch” during the March 24 episode, many spectators were focused on how West, 31, defended Amanda, 34, and their apparent camaraderie.

The insider noted that the cast of In the City, including Summer House OG Lindsay Hubbard, harbors ill feelings towards West “over the fallout with [him and] Ciara.”

The cast of In the City maintains their loyalty to Ciara and Kyle, and thus, do not support West.

Amanda and West have kept themselves occupied this summer, participating in multiple weddings together and traveling to Italy.

They also began sharing images together on social media, including pictures from their recent trip to Newport, Rhode Island, with a group of friends.

“Weenies and martinis,” Amanda wrote in a post on Monday, August 24, featuring several photos on a boat with West, both wearing matching “Newport” sweatshirts.
