Nicole Kidman Shines at the Premiere of Practical Magic 2
Nicole Kidman captivated the audience at the Practical Magic 2 premiere.
At 59, Kidman looked ethereal in a bespoke Chanel gown as she graced the red carpet at the Practical Magic 2 premiere in London on Wednesday, August 26. The dress showcased a strapless sweetheart neckline paired with a built-in corset that accentuated her waist. The mint-colored ensemble sparkled with sequins, featuring a daring thigh-high slit and elegantly draped gold and pearl chains across her bodice.
She further enhanced her look with stunning gold strappy heels, a diamond watch, a coordinating ring, and stud earrings.
For her glam, the actress — who portrays Gillian Owens in the eagerly awaited sequel — opted for a flawless makeup look that included a dewy foundation, contoured cheeks, and a hint of blush. Her eye makeup featured filled-in brows, bronze shadow, long lashes, and soft pink lips. Kidman’s golden blonde hair was styled in soft curls with a center part, complemented by wispy bangs swept to one side.
On the red carpet, Kidman shared the spotlight with her co-star Sandra Bullock, who plays her sister Sally Owens in the film. Bullock, 62, looked stunning in a leopard-print Givenchy gown featuring a strapless corset neckline, a dramatic bow on her hip, and a thigh-high slit. Her look was elevated by layered gold and diamond necklaces and chic black heels.
The two stars, who previously appeared in the original Practical Magic from 1995, embraced each other while posing on the red carpet.
Practical Magic 2 follows the journey of Sally and Gillian as they come together to break their family’s curse once and for all, after Sally’s daughters, played by Joey King and Maisie Williams, accidentally uncover dark magic. The movie will be released in theaters on September 11.
On the red carpet, Kidman shared with People that filming with Bullock was filled with countless fun moments.
“Jumping off the roof together, all of us, was quite an adventure,” she reminisced, highlighting the joy of “dancing at 3 a.m. in the freezing cold while making it look warm.”
