Kristin Juszczyk Shares Her Tips for Stress-Free Travel

The NFL designer Kristin Juszczyk excels in the art of packing efficiently.

When it comes to cleverly organizing her suitcase, Us turned to the 32-year-old, who has an enviable array of clothing options, for her expert packing strategies.

“What I truly appreciated about the Aruba Unpacked initiative is its simplicity and the significant impact it has,” she shared exclusively with Us regarding her collaboration with the Aruba Tourism Authority. “It focuses on curating your travel essentials to enhance your experiences while minimizing worries. Knowing precisely what I’ll wear and what I’ll be doing is crucial for me.”

For her tropical escape, Kristin, who is married to San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, explained that Aruba Unpacked “motivates travelers to pack purposefully,” which she certainly embraced. Rather than folding every piece she owns for her trip—her previous packing tactic—Kristin now limits her outfits to a daily basis.

It all began with organization. First, she evaluates her wardrobe and selects the items she intends to wear. Then, she tries them on, styles them, and photographs the looks. “I save them in an album on my phone,” she revealed. “This way, I can easily swipe through my phone and know, ‘OK, this is what I’m wearing.’ It eliminates the hassle of rummaging through my suitcase. It’s the ultimate travel hack.”

When it’s time to pack, Kristin “layers it day by day.”

“This means I reference my itinerary and prepare exactly what I’ll be wearing each day, stacking it all together, and then repeat for the following days,” she explained to Us.

She’s also a strong advocate for reusing outfits on vacation. “I go through my itinerary and think about how I can elevate a piece,” Kristin shared. “For example, there’s a fantastic butterfly farm there, and I thought, ‘This outfit would be perfect to wear there, and I can just add heels for dinner later.’”

For her adventure, Kristin looked stylish in a pair of sequin pants, which she wore to attract the butterflies. “They’re great because they can be sheer, serving as a cover-up, or dressed up with heels,” she raved. “I believe how you accessorize can completely transform an outfit, and adjusting your hair and makeup has a significant impact too. Just changing your accessories and hairstyle can make you feel like a completely different person.”

Kristin ended up wearing her beloved sequin pants more than she anticipated. “I ended up putting them on nearly every day,” she chuckled. “They were perfect for the beach. I didn’t expect them to be my go-to piece, but they turned out to be the item I loved the most.”

Typically, she wouldn’t consider herself a “sequin girl,” but she reinvented something she already owned with a fresh twist—similar to how she designs custom pieces for herself and celebrities like Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes during football season. “It’s significant to take older items and give them new life,” she stated.

Her essential travel items also included her Canon G7 X for capturing Instagram-worthy photos, sunscreen, her red-light therapy mask, and of course, bikinis. “I always take my red light mask with me wherever,” she noted. “It’s something I swear by, as I value my routine and dislike disruptions.”

As for her time in Aruba, Kristin found the opportunity to truly “disconnect” and unwind, which she feels is “extremely important” before the onset of football season.

“Football season becomes incredibly hectic and busy, making this the perfect destination to simply relax,” she told Us. “Luxury isn’t always about more; it’s about the experience and the connection to your surroundings. It felt absolutely ideal, especially with September looming when life is about to get chaotic.”
