Angela from Big Brother Shares Her Game Strategy Changes
Angela Murray reflects on her recent eviction from the Big Brother house, contemplating what she could have changed to avoid it.
“If I had to pick one thing that I would change, it would be during the final two to three days in the house — I should have read the room better,” Angela, 52, shared exclusively with Us on Friday, September 11. “[I] felt something was off.”
Although Angela formed an alliance with Survivor veterans Rick Devens and Dee Valladares, she noticed a shift in their demeanor once Barrett Pfeiffer placed all three on the block.
“Devens was way too chill, and I sensed something was off with Dee. Had I been more observant,” she thought aloud about the changing atmosphere. “I even told her, ‘[Devens] wants to keep you over me.’ I was aware that she was his top priority.”
Angela acknowledged that she missed the opportunity to advocate for herself with Yash Patel and Taylor Brown, who ultimately cast the deciding votes.
“I regret not approaching Taylor and Yash to express that I was due for an HoH. I should have emphasized, ‘I’ll help you.’ I mentioned that, but I should have conveyed that Devens and Dee wouldn’t eliminate the boys. They were merely putting on a show and actually wanted you guys out,” she recounted. “If I had articulated that, I might have stayed, and it’s something that haunted me all night as I departed the house.”
Angela wishes she had been “a little sneakier” and “set a different tone.” Nevertheless, it would have been a tough sell compared to Dee’s, 29, persuasive efforts to remain in the game.
“It’s evident why the house chose to keep Dee over me because she appeared fierce,” she mentioned to Us. “As she stated in her speech — and throughout the week — ‘I’m going to help you eliminate those boys,’ referring to Drew [Campbell] and Barrett.”
Angela recognizes that Dee “has a proven track record of winning and excelling” in games, so the Survivor 45 champion’s argument held validity.
Although Angela understood that she would need to persuade Yash, 24, and Taylor, 27, to change their votes, she struggled with the notion of being loyal to them.
“I didn’t have the energy for that kind of loyalty. I didn’t project that vibe. I was more low-key because if I had stayed, I wanted Barrett and Drew to not become targets. I didn’t want to pose a threat to them,” she confessed. “I faced a choice: align with Yash and Taylor or stick with Barrett and Drew. My strategy was to maintain a more balanced approach.”

Angela was familiar with the Big Brother dynamic, having been a fan favorite during her debut in season 26. However, the audience witnessed her growth this season.
“This season of Big Brother differs significantly from my first experience,” she stated in an interview with Us. “While some aspects remain familiar since I am Angela and will play my way, I play with passion and intuition. I’ve always believed I had good instincts in both seasons.”
“The major difference lies in my strategic approach. I created multiple alliances and stayed attentive, noting when divides began to form in the house. I observed some strong players puffing up and pointed out this divide, subtly guiding it and planting seeds along the way. I crafted my game from the very beginning, which is the real distinction,” she explained.
