Alec Baldwin Delivers the Most Absurd Cameo Alongside Wife Hilaria
Hilaria Baldwin and Alec Baldwin faced a challenge when Alec paid a visit to his wife on the set of Nation’s Dumbest.
Us has the exclusive first look at the episode airing on Wednesday, September 9, featuring Alec, 68, who makes a special guest appearance to help Hilaria—with mixed outcomes.
“Alec is brilliant, but we are both creative types. We’re not exactly scholars,” Hilaria, 42, shares in a confessional. “So I’m unsure how this will turn out.”
The duo tackles a two-person puzzle that ultimately confounds them. Host Jack Whitehall suggests Hilaria could “sub him out for another family member,” a proposition she mulls over.
Alec, meanwhile, stands by his capabilities.
“By the way, I passed the CIA test,” he quips, to which Hilaria retorts, “I bring you in, and look, I’ll be staying another day.”
Nation’s Dumbest on their marriage, stating, “They have several children. If we end up being the reason for their marriage troubles, that would weigh on my conscience.”

Every week, the “smartest” celebrity advances, gradually narrowing down the contestants until a high-stakes final exam reveals who will be left with the unwanted title of The Nation’s Dumbest.
Speaking with Us prior to the show’s inaugural season, Hilaria acknowledged the hurdles of joining the cast.
“I was a student who had to put in a lot of effort in school. I have ADHD and dyslexia, which I often felt ashamed about,” she reflected. “I wasn’t the most outgoing person and had to work much harder than others. Participating in a show like this was quite daunting for me because I’ve come a long way. Yet, I definitely had moments where I thought, ‘Oh no, all this past trauma is resurfacing.’
