Belmont Cameli Responds to Tyler Cameron’s Dance with DWTS Ladies
Off Campus star Belmont Cameli shared his thoughts after witnessing Tyler Cameron showcase his signature dance moves on Dancing With the Stars.
“I caught that performance. He absolutely nailed it,” said Cameli, 28, during an interview with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet of the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 27. “He looked fantastic and gave it his all, which I truly appreciate. That’s the essence of it. Tyler did an amazing job.”
Cameron, 33, performed a salsa routine to “Girls” by The Kid Laroi, replicating Cameli’s iconic moves from an episode of Off Campus season 1 that aired in May. Competing alongside pro dancer Sharna Burgess in season 35 of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, Cameron earned a score of 16 out of 30 for his performance.
Cameli, who stars with Ella Bright in the Prime Video romantic drama series, also mentioned seeing Cameron’s fellow DWTS participant Guillermo Rodriguez attempt the original choreography. “I came across a video of Guillermo doing it, and he absolutely crushed it,” Cameli exclaimed. “Such a sexy little dance.”
Cameli attended the VMAs with Bright, 19, where they posed for pictures together on the red carpet. Their playful and cheerful demeanor put to rest any rumors of a feud, especially since social media followers noted that Cameli had deleted or archived several Instagram posts featuring Bright.
The duo even addressed the speculation during separate interviews with Entertainment Tonight. “I find them amusing every time I hear them,” Cameli stated. Bright added, “While we’re on set, we’re just in the green room, and he’s like, ‘Did you see this?’ and I’m like, ‘LOL.’”
Cameli remarked that the rumors were “really entertaining, and sometimes downright fascinating, how far people will go with their conclusions.”
He concluded, “I’m glad to put [the rumors] to rest. Ella and I share a very close bond.” Bright chimed in, “He’s one of my best friends. He might not know it, but he is.”
Cameli and Bright’s Off Campus co-star Mika Abdalla recently discussed with Vogue India how season 2 will be different from season 1. “It’s a lot more emotionally intense, which means we lose some of that lighthearted, best-friend vibe,” Abdalla, 26, noted in an article published on September 1.
The series is adapted from the book series by Elle Kennedy and follows an elite ice hockey team and the women connected to them.
