Gavin Rossdale Launches New Cooking Show: Check Out the Trailer!
It seems that Gavin Rossdale does more than just play the guitar and sing — the Bush frontman is also a culinary enthusiast!
“Hello, I’m Gavin Rossdale, welcome to my kitchen,” the 59-year-old rocker states in the upcoming trailer for his cooking show, Dinner With Gavin Rossdale, exclusively revealed by Us Weekly.
Filmed in his Hollywood Hills residence, Rossdale takes the lead in crafting, cooking, and serving a three-course meal for each of his celebrity guests, such as Brooke Shields and Serena Williams. The series is set to debut on February 13, 2025, via Vizio on WatchFree+.
For Rossdale, however, the essence of the show lies in the conversation.
“It’s not in my nature to, like, praise myself,” comments Shields, 59, in the trailer. To which Rossdale replies, “You’re too hard on yourself. We need to work on that.” Shields quickly redirects the topic: “Can I have some cheesecake? Are we diving into my life again?”
Rossdale shared with Us that creating a cooking show was a significant moment for him, as his debut hit with Bush, “Everything Zen,” starts with the line, “There must be something we can eat.”
“The wonderful thing about food is it’s quite similar to music, as there’s no direct competition in either,” he said. “I’m delighted when I have three amazing new albums to share, and it’s really about the challenge itself. If I can create a fantastic dinner for you, you can do the same for me the next day.”
Though he doesn’t identify as a professional chef, he admits he “has some talent for it.” But above all, he believes that “food was secondary to engaging with these incredible people.”
Among various topics with his distinguished guests, he touched upon parenting in privilege, something he and Williams, 43 — mother to Olympia, 7, and Adira, 17 months — both understand.
“[My kids] enjoy an extraordinary life, yet striking a balance is critical to maintain values and ensure they appreciate hard work instead of expecting instant results,” Rossdale — who has sons Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 10, with ex-wife Gwen Stefani and a daughter, Daisy, 33, from a previous relationship — told Us. “I’m truly proud of each of my children; they are all unique individuals with great values and genuinely kind spirits.”
Indeed, his kids were one of the motivations for him to create this show.
“I aimed to find a path that would allow me to stay home and be with my kids instead of constantly traveling for work,” he explained to Us. “I enjoy traveling and performing, but the sacrifice is that I deeply miss my kids. … [The show] is a valuable lesson in perseverance and nurturing an idea until it flourishes. Similar to my music career, patience is key.”
Alongside Shields and Williams, Rossdale shares lively discussions over dinner with Selma Blair, Tom Jones, Common, and Jack McBrayer on the show.
