Celebrity Weakest Link Season 2: Themes and Cast Unveiled
Celebrity Weakest Link is going all out for its season 2 themes, showcasing everything from notorious reality TV villains to the children of A-list stars.
Fox has unveiled a preview of the show’s return on Monday, September 21, with host Jane Lynch ready to challenge a fresh set of contestants.
In the sneak peek, Lynch joked, “The character I portray loves to eviscerate contestants and bid them farewell. The softer side of me doesn’t … well, I do enjoy it. Let’s be honest!”
She added, “I aim to make them suffer for it, but it’s not like the questions become trickier as we progress.”
Celebrity Weakest Link features eight celebrities competing for the chance to win up to one million dollars for a charity of their choice. Contestants answer general knowledge questions to accumulate money as a group, with each round ending in a vote to eliminate who they deem the weakest link.
Ultimately, two participants will remain to decide who takes home the winnings for a charitable cause.
Lynch originally hosted the revival when it debuted on NBC in 2020. The reimagined series ran for three seasons before transitioning to Fox in 2025, featuring celebrity competitors.
Earlier this year, Lynch shared with Us, “This is one game where we get to stand at our podiums, and it’s such a blast. Plus, all these celebrities join in — not only to play the game but also to create an entertaining hour of television.”
Lynch also reflected on her potential performance as a contestant, admitting, “I don’t think I’d perform as well as I hope to. I think I’d end up embarrassing myself. Sometimes, I go through those questions and struggle to know the answers. I’m always impressed by the contestants.”
