Taylor Swift’s Dad Playfully Pranks Her with a Fake High-Five Before the Super Bowl
It’s Taylor Swift vs. Scott Swift at the 2025 Super Bowl — and the pop icon’s father has just thrown the first shot!
As the Kansas City Chiefs triumphed over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, January 26, to move on to Super Bowl LIX against the Philadelphia Eagles, Scott made his loyalties clear. And they don’t lie with his daughter’s partner, Travis Kelce, and his Chiefs.
The passionate Eagles supporter was spotted playfully teasing Taylor by offering her a high-five after the Chiefs scored a touchdown against the Bills, only to retract his hand at the last second, much to Taylor’s delight.
Clips circulating on social media show the Swifts alongside Travis’ mom, Donna Kelce, in a VIP suite at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, as the Chiefs took the lead and prepared to face Scott’s preferred team in the upcoming Super Bowl.

The game concluded with a score of 32-29 in favor of the Chiefs, setting them up to compete against the Eagles on Sunday, February 9, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The Chiefs aim to secure their third consecutive Super Bowl win after defeating the Eagles in 2023 and the San Francisco 49ers in 2024.
While Scott, 72, has been a die-hard Eagles fan for life, he has been seen attending several Chiefs games with his daughter since Taylor, 35, began her relationship with Travis in 2023.
Travis even teased about turning Scott into a Chiefs supporter during a November 2023 episode of his and his brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast. Travis joked that he was winning over the Swifts to the Chiefs Kingdom “one by one” after Scott was seen in Chiefs gear.
“Got him over to the good side, baby,” Travis proclaimed, while Jason, 37, a former Eagles center, expressed discontent at seeing Scott donning Chiefs colors.
“What are we doing?” Travis chuckled. “You’re gonna let this man’s devilishly good looks and relationship with your daughter sway you from a lifetime of fandom, Scott? Absurd.”
Travis laughed, responding, “I might have swayed him the night before at dinner when I met him… Maybe, who knows?”
After Sunday’s AFC Championship Game, Taylor and Travis shared a heartfelt moment on the field, embracing and kissing as the Chiefs secured their Super Bowl berth.
