Inside Nick Sirianni’s Family: Get to Know the NFL Coach’s Wife and Children
For Nick Sirianni, the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, football is deeply rooted in his family.
Growing up in Jamestown, New York, Nick was the youngest of three sons and learned the game from his father, Fran Sirianni, during his high school days. He went on to play college football at the University of Mount Union in Ohio, where he began his coaching journey.
Nick’s entry into the NFL took place in 2009 when he joined the Kansas City Chiefs’ offensive staff under then-head coach Todd Haley. This role not only launched his professional career but also led him to meet his future wife, Brett Ashley Cantwell.
“Meeting my wife there will always hold a special significance for us,” he reflected to The Athletic in 2023. “Professionally, that was my initial experience in the NFL, which was immensely important. … Having met my wife in that city during that particular period makes it forever special to me.”
Nick and Brett have welcomed three children together, who have become an integral part of the Eagles family. Read on for more about Nick’s wife, children, and their family life:
Brett Ashley Cantwell
Brett met Nick during his time with the Kansas City Chiefs from 2009 to 2012. They married in 2013.
The couple initially lived in the same apartment complex in Kansas City before their relationship blossomed. “I didn’t remember him, but he remembered me,” Cantwell, who is a teacher, shared in 2019. “He mentioned he was working with the Chiefs, which didn’t mean much to me at the time.”
When Nick transitioned from the Chiefs to the San Diego Chargers in 2013, Brett faced a tough choice leaving her home state. “Kansas City was great to me; I loved my job. But my love for Nick won out,” she said.
Jacob Sirianni
The couple welcomed their first son, Jacob, in 2015 when Nick was coaching the Chargers. While Jacob shares his father’s passion for sports, he leans more towards baseball.
“I’ve enjoyed attending many of his games,” Nick told the Philadelphia Inquirer in 2022. “I finally have a hobby of my own!”
In September 2023, Jacob joined his father and Eagles center Jason Kelce at the premiere of Prime Video’s Kelce documentary in Philadelphia.
Taylor Sirianni
The couple’s second child, Taylor, was born in 2017. She has captured attention at several Eagles press conferences, notably going viral in January 2023 for mimicking her father’s expressions during a Super Bowl interview.
Taylor made another memorable cameo during a November 2023 press conference, when Nick asked her how she wanted to spend the bye week. She whispered her response to him, prompting Nick’s playful reinterpretation: “You want to get Chick-fil-A?” he inquired with a laugh.
“No, I didn’t say that!” Taylor replied cheekily.
Miles Sirianni
The Sirianni family welcomed their third child, Miles, in 2020. During a 2023 press conference following the Eagles’ NFC Championship victory, Miles adorably sat on his father’s lap alongside his siblings.
Previously, during October 2022, Miles donned an Eagles jersey while Nick praised running back Miles Sanders; upon hearing his name, Miles looked up, and Nick sweetly kissed him on the cheek.
Fran and Amy Sirianni
Nick’s parents were overjoyed when he received the Eagles coaching offer in 2021, expressing their pride in his “dream” job in an interview with local Philly outlet WPVI. Much of his success is attributed to his supportive parents.
Fran coached high school football for 45 years, including coaching Nick during his time at Southwestern Central High School in West Ellicott, New York. He was honored with induction into the Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame in 2018.
Amy and Fran have secured season tickets for the Eagles and are keen to learn the team’s fight song. “Fly, Eagles Fly,” Amy joked in a 2021 interview. “But I still need to learn the rest of the lyrics.”
Jay and Mike Sirianni
Following in their father’s footsteps, both of Nick’s older brothers, Jay and Mike, have pursued coaching careers. Jay previously coached at Southwestern Central High School, while Mike is the head coach at Washington & Jefferson College in Pennsylvania.
Reflecting on their brotherly bond before the 2023 Super Bowl, Nick reminisced about playing football and engaging in playful antics in their childhood home. “We would have tackle football in the living room and fun boxing matches using couch pillows,” he recalled.
Mike humorously added, “Maybe that’s why the youngest brother is said to be the toughest. It’s rubbed off on him, which has helped him reach where he is today.”
