Cast and Character Guide for Season 3 of ‘The White Lotus’
“The White Lotus” is returning with an entirely new ensemble, a different setting, and a multitude of enigmas.
In the upcoming third season of the HBO series, anticipate a storyline that intensifies both in size and darkness. As creator Mike White mentioned to Time magazine, “I believe the previous seasons served as a rehearsal for this one.”
Given that each season introduces a brand new cast and set of characters, it can be challenging to remember who’s who. Below is a guide to the cast and characters for “The White Lotus” Season 3.

Walton Goggins as Rick Hatchett
Who is Walton? Goggins is likely most recognizable for his role as The Ghoul/Cooper Howard in “Fallout” last year. However, he has been in the industry since 1990, playing various roles on shows like “The Shield,” “Justified,” and “The Righteous Gemstones.”
Who is Rick? Per an HBO press release, he is described as a “grizzled man harboring a chip on his shoulder,” who is enjoying a vacation at the resort with his significantly younger partner, Chelsea. (In the trailer, she suggests he get a facial after someone mistakes him for her dad.) However, Rick might have ulterior motives. The trailer shows him going through photos on his phone, pausing on an image of an elderly couple.
Aimee Lou Wood as Chelsea
Who is Aimee? Wood garnered attention for her role in “Sex Education” and has appeared in films such as “Seize Them!” and “Daddy Issues.”
Who is Chelsea? Described as a “free spirit” in the press release, not much is known about her except that she is on vacation with her older boyfriend, Rick. There is an implication that neither of them come from wealth—particularly Chelsea, who mentions to Rick in the trailer, “We should always live like this.”
Leslie Bibb as Kate
Who is Leslie? Bibb has co-starred in “Palm Royale” and has appeared in series such as “Jupiter’s Legacy,” “American Housewife,” “Crossing Jordan,” and “Popular.” She also was recently in the film “Juror #2.”
Who is Laurie? She is part of a trio of friends on a girls’ getaway after a long separation, along with Laurie and Jaclyn—but the trailer suggests they are no longer as close as they once were.

Who is Carrie? Coon stars in “The Gilded Age” and was one of the siblings featured in “His Three Daughters” in 2023. She has also played significant roles in “The Sinner,” “Fargo,” and “The Leftovers,” and is married to Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and occasional actor Tracy Letts.
Who is Laurie? Her character description mirrors Kate’s—she joins two old friends for a somewhat tension-filled reunion in an idyllic setting. However, in the trailer, she is shown criticizing one friend as “fake” and labeling another as “vain and selfish.”
Michelle Monaghan as Jaclyn
Who is Michelle? Although primarily a film actress seen in titles like “Mission: Impossible — Fallout” and “MaXXXine,” Monaghan has also maintained a consistent presence in television with series like “Boston Public,” “True Detective,” “The Path,” and “Bad Monkey.”
Who is Jaclyn? She is the last of the three lifelong friends enjoying a getaway in Thailand after ages apart, and from the trailer, (where she exclaims, “We’re not dead yet!”) she appears eager to celebrate.
Jason Isaacs as Timothy Ratliff
Who is Jason? Many will remember Isaacs as Lucius Malfoy from the “Harry Potter” series, but he has garnered fans for playing tough characters in various productions, including “The Patriot” and “The OA.”
Who is Timothy? While the HBO press release describes him as a “wealthy businessman on vacation with his wife and three kids,” the trailer suggests that Timothy’s storyline is set for some dramatic turns. He is heard on the phone questioning what he should tell his family, saying, “we’re poor now and Daddy’s going to prison!” Later, he is seen brandishing a gun. Quite the vacation experience!
Parker Posey as Victoria Ratliff
Who is Parker? Once celebrated as the indie film darling of the ’90s, Posey has amassed a prolific career appearing in over 100 films and TV shows, including “As the World Turns,” “Dazed and Confused,” “Kicking and Screaming,” and numerous productions by Christopher Guest, such as “Best in Show.” She also featured prominently in the 2018 reboot of “Lost in Space.”
Who is Victoria? Not much is revealed about Victoria, except that she is vacationing with her husband Timothy and their three adult children (whom she still affectionately refers to as her “babies” in the trailer). In addition, she comes off in the trailer as an opulent southern woman—commenting to a worker about their usual Caribbean vacations and implying to her husband that if they go broke, she may not want to continue living.
Patrick Schwarzenegger as Saxon Ratliff
Who is Patrick? As inferred, he is related to that Schwarzenegger—Patrick is the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver. He has recently made appearances in various films and TV series including “Scream Queens,” “Gen V,” “The Long Road Home,” “The Staircase,” and “The Terminal List.”
Who is Saxon? He is the eldest son of Timothy and Victoria Ratliff, employed at his father’s company. (Though such employment may soon change, given the news Timothy receives while on vacation.) In the trailer, he faces a philosophical inquiry from his brother Lochlan and appears to fully indulge in a carefree lifestyle.
Patrick Schwarzenegger shared insights about his character with TODAY.com.
“Saxon is in peak physical condition and is very mindful of his diet and fitness,” he explained.
Schwarzenegger elaborated that while Saxon is “entirely different” from his real-life persona, there is some overlap.
“It’s a character striving to step out from under his father’s shadow and establish his own identity,” he noted. “So, there were parallels from my own experience that I could draw from.”
Sarah Catherine Hook as Piper Ratliff
Who is Sarah? In addition to her roles in horror-themed films and series (like “NOS4A2” and “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It”), Hook has also appeared in “First Kill” and “Cruel Intentions.”
Who is Piper? Not fully self-sufficient yet, Piper is a religion studies major in her final college year and is the middle child of Timothy and Victoria; the entire family is on this luxurious trip to Thailand together.
Sam Nivola as Lochlan Ratliff
Who is Sam? The offspring of actors Alessandro Nivola and Emily Mortimer, Sam has some directing credits to his name and has featured in films and TV shows such as “White Noise,” “Maestro,” and “The Perfect Couple.”
Who is Lochlan? He is the youngest member of the Ratliff family, a high school senior who, according to the trailer, appears to be grappling with his ethical principles. “What if this life is just a test, to see if we can become better people?” he asks his elder brother Saxon in the trailer.
Natasha Rothwell as Belinda Lindsey
Who is Natasha? With a background in comedic roles, Rothwell has featured in over 20 “UCB Comedy Originals” and has appeared in series like “A Black Lady Sketch Show” and “Insecure.” She has also voiced characters in animations such as “Baby Shark’s Big Show!,” “Wish,” and “Tuca & Bertie,” in addition to writing for “Saturday Night Live.”
Who is Belinda? Only a few actors have made it through more than one season of “White Lotus,” and with Season 3 consisting of eight episodes, Rothwell becomes the longest-serving cast member (surpassing even Jennifer Coolidge). Belinda first appeared in Season 1 as the spa manager at The White Lotus in Maui, who was shortchanged by a guest. This season, she is both a guest at the Thai resort and someone attempting to absorb every detail to enhance the Maui location.
Lek Patravadi as Sritala
Who is Lek? Known professionally as Patravadi Mejudhon, Lek is a renowned actress in Thailand who has also produced, directed, and written for various television shows and plays.
Who is Sritala? According to the press release, she is one of the proprietors of the local White Lotus resort and is the “visionary behind its wellness program.” Additionally, she appears in a photograph on Rick’s phone, suggesting a possible relationship between them.
Lalisa Manobal as Mook
Who is Lalisa? Professionally known as Lisa, Manobal was born in Thailand and is a member of the globally acclaimed South Korean girl group, Blackpink. “The White Lotus” marks her acting debut.
Who is Mook? As a health mentor for guests at the resort, her voice can be heard in the trailer stating, “Everyone comes to Thailand, either hiding from someone or searching for someone.”
Tayme Thapthimthong as Gaitok
Who is Tayme? He is often credited as Maethi Thapthimthong and has appeared in the miniseries “Thai Cave Rescue” as well as in TV shows “Farang” and “Hooked,” among others.
Who is Gaitok? Gaitok serves as a security guard at The White Lotus. He is depicted responding to a theft incident and practicing with a weapon, but there’s limited information about what type of security measures he will be enforcing.
