Rachel Brosnahan shares an unexpected love for unique condiments when it comes to enjoying her french fries.

“Peanut butter,” expressed the The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star, 34, without a moment of doubt when asked about the “most ridiculous” dip in a promotional video for her partnership with McCain Foods.

“When I was around 16, I went camping and we noticed we didn’t have any traditional condiments,” she said. “No ketchup, no mustard, no mayonnaise.”

Despite the absence of typical french fry accompaniments, Brosnahan and her friends decided to make the best of their limited options.

“All we had was a massive jar of peanut butter,” she reminisced. “After hiking for days and being famished, we decided to fry some potatoes over the campfire and started dipping them into the peanut butter.”

How did it taste? Brosnahan had nothing but positivity to share.

“It was a bit salty, a bit crunchy,” she reflected. “Honestly, it wasn’t bad at all.”

Brosnahan has joined forces with McCain Foods to promote regenerative agriculture aimed at alleviating the future impacts of climate change on food production. The frozen potato brand has pledged to fully adopt sustainable farming practices by 2030.
