Leighton Meester Reveals Her Fresh and Playful Daily Makeup Routine
Leighton Meester reveals her effortless and enjoyable makeup regimen.
On Thursday, February 27, Meester, 38, showcased her preferred makeup routine in an episode of Vogue’s “Beauty Secrets”. She began her process by cleansing her face with the Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash. To ensure a deep clean, she used a vibrating NagraCoola Clie 1 Facial Cleansing Brush, which she humorously noted garners a lot of comments. “I use this really cool questionable device,” she remarked. “Let’s just leave it at that. It vibrates, which is pretty fun.”
Following her cleansing routine, Meester utilized an eyelid cleaner to address her “dry eyes.” She then applied the Klog Snail Mucin Energy Essence to her face and neck for added moisture. As she applied the snail-derived mucin, Meester shared that her husband, Adam Brody, is also a fan of the product.
To seal in her skincare, she used the Shani Darden Moisture Boost Plumping Serum, along with EltaMD UV Restore Face Sunscreen and their tinted SPF.
Next, for her makeup, Meester filled in her brows using the Kosas Brow Pop Dual-Action Defining Brow Pencil.
While defining her brows, Meester reflected on her love for makeup, which blossomed in her late teenage years. “I got really into sitting on the floor in front of the mirror for my makeup routine,” she shared. “I would often have five auditions in a single day, so it became a moment of meditation.”
Preferring a natural look, Meester skipped foundation and went straight to her eyes with the Chanel Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Palette, applying a light shade to her eyelid. She built up the color with a hint of brown shadow in her inner corner and blended it into her waterline. The Nobody Wants This star completed her eye look with a touch of highlighter on each lid.
Meester then contoured her jawline and cheeks using the Tom Ford Soleil Sheer Cheek Highlighting Duo, followed by enhancing her lashes with the Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara.
To elevate her overall look, Meester applied the Chanel Baume Essentiel to her collarbone and brow bones. “You wouldn’t believe I’m using this,” she exclaimed regarding her understated look. “It gives a cool, dewy, and wet effect.”
To finalize her look, Meester defined her lips with the Dior Rouge Dior Contour Lip Liner before softening the lines with her finger. She filled in her lips with the Dior Addict Lip Glow Balm and misted her face with the EarthTonics Botanical Toning Mist. “This was so much fun,” Meester concluded with a playful blow-kiss to her viewers.
