Kim Kardashian Reveals Daughter North Was ‘Mad’ at Her for a Year Following Divorce from Kanye West
Kim Kardashian believes that her divorce from Ye, known previously as Kanye West, has had a significant effect on their 11-year-old daughter, North West.
In Season 6, Episode 4 of “The Kardashians,” Kim discussed noticeable changes she has observed in her daughter since her separation from the rapper.
“Something wild happened. Let me know if this ever happened with Mason,” she said to Kourtney Kardashian while engaging in a game of ping pong. “North has become really attached to me and calls me with her friends saying, ‘Mom, I love you. You’re the best mom. I love you so much.’
“Well, she’s always been affectionate with me,” Kourtney chimed in, prompting her to speculate whether Kim had changed over the years.
“Maybe,” Kim responded. “There was a time when she seemed really upset with me.”

Kourtney suggested that Kim’s divorce from West could be influencing North’s behavior, to which Kim agreed.
“I think it’s all about the divorce,” she said. “It’s unbelievable how much has changed.”
Kim and West were married from 2014 to 2022 and share North along with three younger children: Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5.
In a 2023 interview on Jay Shetty’s podcast, Kim opened up about the challenges of parenting as a single mother.
“It has been the most difficult experience,” she stated.
“You know, dealing with all the different moods and personalities, and sometimes they argue, and I’m the only one here,” she added. “It’s my responsibility to be both the good cop and the bad cop.”
Kim mentioned that she is trying to be “a bit more strict” with her children. Yet, despite the “chaos” of parenting, she finds joy in it.
“People say the days are long and the years are short, and that couldn’t be more true,” she reflected. “When you’re in the moment, especially when they’re babies and you’re dealing with all the craziness … it’s complete madness, but it’s the best kind of chaos.”
Ye appeared in the previous episode of “The Kardashians” to show his support for North during her live performance commemorating the 30th anniversary of “The Lion King.”
Kardashian shared that both she and Ye are aligned when it comes to parenting. “Kanye and I both want what’s best for the kids, so whenever we’re together supporting our child, it’s all positive vibes,” she concluded.
