Hilaria Baldwin Expresses Concerns for Herself and Alec During Trial

Hilaria Baldwin expressed her worries regarding the potential ramifications for herself and her husband Alec Baldwin during his highly publicized trial.

On the episode of The Baldwins that aired on Sunday, March 9, Alec, 66, and Hilaria, 41, returned home after the dismissal of charges in the Rust trial. Hilaria revealed her uncertainty about the outcome, stating on camera, “This might sound silly, but I wrote little letters for the kids — that I left here — and I hid them. I also told a friend where they are in case something were to happen to us.”

The couple has seven children together: Carmen, 11; Rafael, 9; Leonardo, 8; Romeo, 6; Eduardo, 4; María, 4; and Ilaria, 2. Their eldest daughter previously voiced her concerns regarding her father’s legal challenges.

“Carmen asked me last night, ‘When daddy goes to New Mexico, do I say goodbye to him? Do I say goodbye to him in a special way?’” Hilaria remembered in a March episode, becoming emotional. “[She was so afraid] that when Alec and I go into court, someone is going to shoot us.”

She added: “This has had a tremendous impact on his health and mental state. Over the past few years, he has experienced heart issues and has fainted multiple times.”

Alec faced involuntary manslaughter charges in January 2023 for the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. At the time, he was holding the prop gun that discharged on the film set in October 2021, resulting in Hutchins’ death and injuries to director Joel Souza. He has maintained that he is not liable for the incident.

Alec pleaded not guilty, and the charges were ultimately dismissed in April 2023, but he was re-indicted concerning Hutchins’ death, who was 42 at the time of her passing. The second case was dismissed by a judge, and Alec has since filed a lawsuit alleging malicious prosecution and violations of civil rights against the prosecution team.
