Arie Luyendyk Jr. Shares Details About His Vasectomy Reversal Timing
Arie Luyendyk Jr. is sharing details about the timeline of his vasectomy reversal after his wife Lauren Burnham announced her pregnancy.
“If you watched our last video, you might recall that the vasectomy reversal took place last summer,” Arie, 43, said in a YouTube video released on Monday, March 10, to which Lauren, 33, responded, “That’s right, it happened last year.”
“A lot has transpired since then,” joked Arie.
The couple had previously revealed in a February YouTube video that Arie decided to undergo a vasectomy reversal because they felt their family wasn’t yet complete. (The couple already shares a 5-year-old daughter, Alessi, and 3-year-old twins, Senna and Lux.)
“Given that I only had the vasectomy two years ago, I’m a strong candidate for a successful reversal. So, we’re keeping our fingers crossed. We just wanted to keep you guys in the loop,” Arie explained, with Lauren adding, “Here’s hoping for baby No. 4 coming soon. It’s so crazy.”
After the procedure, Arie was seen in the family’s kitchen opening a gift box, while a banner in the background read, “Watch out preschool. Here I come!”
Weeks after sharing the video, Arie and Lauren announced they were expecting another child following a chemical pregnancy.
“Our last missing piece,” Lauren said in an Instagram post on Monday, displaying her baby bump. “Coming this September.”
After welcoming their third and fourth children, Lauren exclusively told Us Weekly in August 2023 that the couple was happily acclimating to parenthood.
“We feel like we’re in a good place now that our kids are more independent and easier to manage altogether,” Lauren said then. “They are starting to form adorable relationships with one another. Alessi loves to assist them, and they help each other out all the time.”
Arie and Lauren first met on The Bachelor season 22, where he initially proposed to Becca Kufrin. After ending his engagement to Becca just days after the finale, Arie reignited his romance with Lauren. The couple married in 2019 and renewed their vows four years later.
“We weren’t planning to renew our vows so soon, but we heard about the Aruba I Do event, and it seemed like a fun opportunity to celebrate love with our kids at the beach. That’s exactly what we did,” Lauren revealed to Us in August 2023. “It was wonderful having our children there. They had an absolute blast, especially when they saw the dancers in their vibrant costumes. Lux was completely fascinated by them. It was such a joy.”
