The year 2025 began with a wave of celebrity separations.
Just two months after initial breakup rumors surfaced, Jessica Simpson confirmed that she and Eric Johnson have ended their marriage of 10 years. “Eric and I have been living apart while navigating a difficult situation in our relationship,” she stated in a January 13 announcement to Us Weekly. “Our children are our top priority, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We appreciate all the love and support we’ve received and ask for privacy as we navigate this time as a family.”
The couple married in 2014 and share three children: Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie. Just two days before their split announcement, Simpson listed her Los Angeles home for $17.9 million.
In addition, on January 8, news emerged that Jessica Alba and Cash Warren had separated after 16 years of marriage. Alba was nine months pregnant with their first child, daughter Honor, when they exchanged vows in 2008. They later welcomed daughter Haven and son Hayes in 2011 and 2017, respectively.
