Celebrating One Year of Taylor Swift’s TTPD: A Look Back at Her Most Memorable Moments
A year has passed since the prophecy shifted, and Taylor Swift treated fans with her 11th studio release, The Tortured Poets Department.
At the 2024 Grammy Awards, Swift, 35, announced her upcoming album, which officially dropped on April 19, 2024. As soon as it was released at midnight, excited Swifties stayed up late unraveling lyrical Easter eggs and potential references to her former flames Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy, along with her current partner, Travis Kelce.
Just as fans finished listening to the 16-track album, Swift caught everyone by surprise with another revelation at 3 a.m.—TTPD was actually a hidden double album featuring even more poetic verses and catchy melodies. The Anthology earned Swift an impressive five Grammy nominations, along with an additional nod for her duet “us.” with Gracie Abrams, although she didn’t walk away with any awards in February 2025.
Despite her Grammy disappointment, Swift has celebrated a remarkable year since fans first experienced TTPD on that initial night of April 19. Keep reading to relive her most significant moments:
The ‘Eras Tour’ Changed Us Forevermore
While in the midst of her record-shattering Eras Tour, Swift stealthily crafted a brand-new segment to enhance her already epic three-hour performance. She unveiled the TTPD set during her trio of concerts in Paris in May 2024. Then, in June, she surprised fans when Kelce made a special appearance at Wembley Stadium in London, carrying her during the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” pantomime.
Swift concluded the Eras Tour with six shows in Canada in December 2024.
‘End of an Era’ Party
Kelce made sure to commemorate Swift’s significant touring accomplishment by throwing a lavish party for their friends, family, and fellow Kansas City Chiefs players in December 2024. Guests, including Brittany Mahomes and the Haim sisters, donned Swiftie-themed outfits, exchanged friendship bracelets—the spark of Swift and Kelce’s romance—and danced the night away. To top it off, Kelce gifted Swift the “22” fedora, reminiscent of her onstage performances.
Officially a Published Author
Alongside Kelce’s celebration, Swift marked her Eras achievement with the release of a coffee table book in 2024, which surpassed one million copies sold in its first week.
“My aim was for every fan to depart that show feeling I gave them everything I had,” she expressed in the prologue. “I committed to being physically and mentally tougher than I had ever been, more disciplined, and focused on my health, fitness, and endurance. Thankfully, I am surrounded by my amazing crew, band, singers, and dancers who echoed my commitment to the tremendous scale of this show.”
Karma Is the Guy on the Chiefs
Swift attended as many Chiefs games as her Eras concerts permitted, including the 2025 AFC Championship, which concluded with an on-field victory kiss, and the 2025 Super Bowl. Unfortunately, the Chiefs lost the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles, and Swift ensured she was there to console her partner.
“Taylor is supporting Travis during this tough period and is doing her best to be available for him,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly. “The game didn’t go as they had hoped.”
Giving Back
This year, Swift also made it a priority to assist those in need. She paid a surprise visit to a local Kansas City children’s hospital in December 2024, brightening the day of patients and their families while delivering holiday gifts such as a Dyson AirWrap and a replica of her Miu Miu two-piece.
One month later, she made donations to several organizations aiding victims of the Los Angeles wildfires.
“The fires in California have devastated so many families, and it’s heartbreaking to witness these stories unfold,” Swift shared via her Instagram Stories in January 2025. “There’s immense suffering and loss. While many individuals face some of the toughest times of their lives, it’s heartening to see many wonderful groups come together to assist these communities in rebuilding.”
Wearing His Initial on a Chain ‘Round Her Upper Thigh
Fans quickly noticed that Swift seemed to have Kelce on her mind when she attended the Grammys solo. She dazzled in a Chiefs-red corset dress by Vivienne Westwood, accessorized with a delicate and custom “T” chain draped around her thigh. Fans immediately speculated that the “T” referred to Kelce, who was unable to attend the ceremony due to its proximity to the Super Bowl. (Swift later repurposed the Lorraine Schwartz chain as a necklace for the big game.)
During the awards, Swift presented Beyoncé with the trophy for Best Country Album after walking out to TTPD’s “So High School.” It’s presumed that the single is about Kelce with several athletic references, such as, “You know how to ball / I know Aristotle.”
Knitting Their Babies Presents
In her spare time, Swift made sure to express her congratulations to friends welcoming new family members.
A source informed Us in January 2025 that Swift crafted a special blanket for Patrick and Brittany Mahomes’ newborn daughter, Golden Raye. Months later, in March 2025, Swift “liked” a post announcing that Jason and Kylie Kelce had welcomed their fourth daughter. While Swift is renowned for creating DIY gifts for her friends’ kids, it remains unclear if she crafted anything for Travis’ sibling following Finnley’s birth.
Jet-Set Power Couple
Amid their respective work schedules, Swift and Travis have often escaped on trips, whether by car or plane, visiting destinations like New York, Utah, and Montana. They even attended the US Open and a Yankees playoff game in fall 2024.
“Taylor and Travis are doing wonderfully, still very much together and in love,” a source revealed to Us in April 2025. “They’re just taking a step back from the limelight.”
Travis, meanwhile, is currently enjoying the NFL offseason until training camp resumes in summer 2025.
