Seasons 3 and 4 of “Ginny & Georgia” were announced as renewed in May 2023; however, filming only commenced in March 2024 due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes. Filming for Season 3 concluded in September, as per various cast members posts on Instagram.

In January, actress Antonia Gentry, who portrays Ginny Miller, hinted at what to expect from the third season, calling it “surprising, heart-wrenching, and exciting.”
“If it were even conceivable, it turned out to be even crazier,” she stated. “There are a plethora of unexpected twists and much more drama this season.”
She expressed her eagerness for fans to tune in and share their thoughts.
What unfolds in the trailer?
Viewers will recall that Season 2 concluded with Georgia (Brianne Howey) being arrested during her nuptials for the murder of Tom Fuller (details on Season 2’s finale below).
As per the trailer, Season 3 appears to pick up exactly where Season 2 ended; the first shot reveals Georgia’s cell door swinging open as Ginny’s (Gentry) voiceover remarks, “What occurs when everything collapses? The rug can be snatched away in an instant.”
Among the rapid sequences shown in the trailer, Austin’s father, Gil (Aaron Ashmore), is seen angrily banging on what seems to be an interrogation table, while Paul (Scott Porter) embraces Georgia. Additionally, Marcus (Felix Mallard) and Ginny come close to sharing a kiss, and Georgia inquires of someone, “Don’t you want to ask me if I did it?”
In another scene, Ginny is at a dance with friends, a younger Georgia (Nikki Roumel) discreetly stashes money in her bra, and Ellen (Jennifer Robertson) appears visibly shocked by something, indicating there’s an ongoing court case (likely concerning Georgia).
“I’m not a bad person,” Georgia states. “It all depends on perception.”

How did Season 2 conclude?
After experiencing a tumultuous relationship marked by Marcus’s struggles with depression, Ginny and Marcus decided to part ways and remain friends. However, the trailer suggests they might be becoming a little more than just friends.

Georgia ultimately disclosed to her fiancé, Mayor Paul Randolph, that Gil (Austin’s father) was blackmailing her because she had framed him for fraud. While this was a significant move for Georgia, who has difficulty trusting others, she still withheld some of her biggest secrets from Paul, including her past murders.
Paul and Georgia ended up having an unexpected wedding, which was abruptly interrupted by the police, who arrested Georgia for Tom Fuller’s murder — Cynthia’s husband. Although Georgia did commit this act, she viewed it as a mercy killing after Cynthia confided in her about the struggles of prolonging dying in hospice.
