Robert Irwin Named as the Inaugural Celebrity

“Dancing With the Stars” is set to make its comeback for Season 34!

On April 22, ABC announced the return of the beloved dance competition, unveiling the first celebrity who will be competing for the prestigious Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

The inaugural contestant for the upcoming season is none other than Robert Irwin, son of the late Steve Irwin.

“All I can say is, Crikey! Holy moly,” exclaimed the 21-year-old conservationist and zookeeper in a video shared on the show’s Instagram story. Irwin also appeared shirtless, with a snake draped around his neck, hinting at his recent photo campaign for underwear brand Bonds.

Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro are returning as hosts for “DWTS,” while Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough will serve as judges.

Details regarding the full cast and their professional dancing partners will be revealed at a later date.

In Season 33, former Bachelor Joey Graziadei and pro Jenna Johnson clinched first place, with popular rugby player and Olympian Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten finishing in second.
