Elizabeth Chambers Posts Rare Photo with Ex-Husband Armie Hammer and Their Kids
Elizabeth Chambers shared a rare snapshot with her ex-husband, Armie Hammer, to commemorate their son’s advancement in school.
In the image, shared on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, June 3, Chambers, 42, beamed alongside Hammer, 38, and their children — son Ford, 7, and daughter Harper, 10 — as she proudly displayed a certificate featuring Ford’s name.
“Happy 2nd grade step-up, FORDY BOY,” Chambers captioned the photo.
In the image, Hammer sported a black T-shirt and matching pants, while Chambers wore a navy and beige-striped dress. Harper donned a floral navy dress beside her brother, who held the family dog in a white button-down and khaki pants.
The image comes just weeks after Chambers provided an update about her and Hammer’s relationship, as well as their family dynamics, on the Today show’s Jenna & Friends.
“They’re amazing. We’re amazing. I think we’ve never been stronger as a family,” Chambers expressed on May 5 while discussing her new docuseries Toxic, which delves into the complexities of toxicity and trauma in relationships.
After over a decade of marriage, Chambers and Hammer announced their separation in July 2020 and wrapped up their divorce three years later. Hammer, however, found himself in scandalous news in 2021 when he faced accusations of sending graphic messages to several women about his sexual fantasies, including themes of rape, mutilation, and cannibalism.
He was also accused of sexual assault, a claim his attorneys denied at the time. (The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office confirmed in June 2023 that they would not pursue sexual assault charges after a two-year investigation.)
“[Toxic] addresses themes of domestic violence and unhealthy patterns. Personally, I felt betrayal,” Chambers shared with Jenna Bush-Hager last month. “But amid that experience, I learned a great deal about patterns and the essence of parenting, which ultimately ties back to humanity and psychology.”
Chambers noted that while she prefers not to use the term “coparenting,” she and Hammer do maintain a constructive arrangement.
“I believe we’re simply parents, doing our best with what we’ve got,” she clarified. “Our family is, once again, stronger and better than ever. But for me, divorce itself is a form of trauma.”
She added: “No one wishes to inflict trauma on their children. We bring these little angels into the world.”
Regarding Hammer, he affirmed on his “Armie HammerTime” podcast in October 2024 that he intends to share the truth about his past controversies with his children “100 percent, when the time is right.”
