Dustin Lynch Discusses His Friendship with Lindsay Hubbard and Plans for Summer House
Dustin Lynch maintains a solid friendship with Lindsay Hubbard, even though he’s not in the loop about what’s happening on Summer House.
“We caught up over the phone last week,” Lynch, 40, shared exclusively with Us Weekly prior to hosting his Pool Situation: CMA Fest party in Nashville. “I don’t really watch TV. It’s a funny dynamic. I don’t know anything about her life on-screen. I only know her as a friend in real life, but I’m clueless about her portrayal on Summer House.”
Although he isn’t eager to join her Bravo reality show as a cast member, he would love to make a guest appearance and perform during a party with the crew.
“I’ve been trying for years to get on there,” he mentioned about a potential cameo. “I was initially invited to be a musical guest at one of their parties. One of my managers is a huge Summer House fan, and I’d love to do it for her to get her on set, but it just hasn’t worked out. We’ve attempted year after year, but there’s always a scheduling conflict.”
Despite past romance rumors between Hubbard, 38, and Lynch, both have previously denied any dating speculation. They’ve simply been good friends for a long time.
Hubbard’s ex, Carl Radke, revealed on a February episode of “The Viall Files” podcast that the “Party Mode” singer was set to perform at their wedding before it was called off.
Rather than focusing on the happenings in the Hamptons and on Summer House, Lynch has a packed summer schedule ahead, followed by a collaboration with American Idol winner Scotty McCreery for the “Two for the Road” tour in the fall.
“We’re aiming for nothing but good vibes at our shows, and that’s our goal every night,” Lynch teased to Us. “My band wants to create an atmosphere where people can escape from life’s challenges and enjoy a fun night out. I know Scotty feels the same way.”
Fans can look forward to the country artist performing a range of his biggest hits, such as “Thinking ‘Bout You,” “Stars Like Confetti,” and “Chevrolet.” They’ll also likely hear his latest single titled “Easy to Love.”
“It’s somewhat autobiographical,” Lynch said about his new release. “It talks about a guy embracing life and where it leads him. Personally, I’m single and free… [But] I miss having a plus one.”
Lynch remains appreciative of the opportunities coming his way, such as his club residency at Wynn Las Vegas.
“I have a lot of exciting things happening,” Lynch explained. “I don’t want to feel too tied down right now… I’m being cautious about how much I invest in someone.”
