Antonia Gentry Shares Her Thoughts on Season 1 of Ginny and Georgia and Its Curls
Antonia Gentry is open to changing her hairstyle.
The Ginny & Georgia actress, 27, shared her hair journey on TikTok on Sunday, June 22, seeking her followers’ opinions on whether she should get braids.
“Should I get braids? Should I go for boho knotless braids?” she inquired in the video. “I haven’t sported braids since I was about 12. I’m a bit nervous and uncertain if it’s a wise choice.”
Gentry added that while her natural curls are voluminous, her hair is actually quite thin, joking it resembles “two strands of hair.”
“Will I go bald?” she wondered concerning the braids. “If I do, I’ll just start wearing wigs.”
Her followers encouraged her to try the style in the comments, raving that she would “rock” it.
One fan humorously remarked, “If [you] survived whatever they did to your hair during season 1, I think you’ll be fine,” to which Gentry responded, “I — 💀.”
Earlier this month, Gentry discussed her hair journey while filming Ginny & Georgia over the years.
“My hair is naturally curly. I know Ginny’s hair across seasons 1, 2 and 3 is quite different, so let me clarify,” she expressed.

“In season 1, that was my natural hair. Some [stylists] found it challenging to work with my hair,” she continued. “We faced a bit of heat damage, it got lightly bleached, and four inches were cut off.”
As she prepared for season 2, Gentry requested a wig to better protect her hair, but it didn’t end up “matching” her real locks.
“We abandoned the wig and used a wand on my hair to match the curl pattern to the wig,” she explained. “My hair was subjected to heat every single day.”
After experiencing more heat damage, the hairstylists learned to style her curls without heat for season 3 of the show. “I had someone who did such an incredible job; we didn’t use any heat and took care of it,” she remembered, expressing her relief while in the glam trailer.
“My favorite hair moment for Ginny is season 3 because that’s the healthiest my hair has ever been during filming,” the actress shared.
