Kylie Kelce Shares Tips for Supporting Breastfeeding Moms

Kylie Kelce breastfeeds in public and she wants you to stop being weird about it.

On the Thursday, July 10 episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, the mother of four shared her insights for those who might find themselves in the presence of a breastfeeding mom. This discussion was prompted during her “Doomscroll of the Week” segment, which featured a TikTok video of a woman whose father-in-law unexpectedly entered while she was pumping.

“The idea of it being this person’s father-in-law who walks in—this applies to both Eds,” Kylie, 33, remarked, referring to her and her husband, Jason Kelce‘s fathers, both named Ed. “Is Finn a bit fussy? Is she hungry? Suddenly they vanish—it’s like a magic trick.”

Kylie and Jason, 37, welcomed their daughter Finnley in March, joining daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, and Bennett, 2.

“A lot of people aren’t sure how to behave when a woman is breastfeeding nearby,” Kylie continued. “But as a mom currently experiencing it, I can offer you some official tips.”

“Tip No. 1: Keep doing exactly what you were doing before the mom started feeding her baby,” she advised. “This means no awkward comments or unsolicited opinions. Feel free to stay seated if that’s what you were doing. Avoid staring at her breasts or, conversely, fixating on the ceiling. Just don’t make it weird.”

That was her only tip. Kylie emphasized “that’s all you need to do,” and that the same principle applies if a woman is pumping.

As Finn is the fourth child Kylie has breastfed, she mentioned that she has become skilled at discreetly breastfeeding in public, including the type of blanket she uses for coverage.

Kylie Kelce is still adapting to life with four daughters—but there’s no question regarding who newborn Finn resembles most. Kylie, 33, resumed hosting her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast on Thursday, May 29, after welcoming her and Jason Kelce‘s fourth baby in March. “Finn is every single day …”

“I feel like I have mastered the art of staying completely covered,” she stated. “With my four children so far, I’m proud to say there hasn’t been a nip-slip during breastfeeding.”

She mentioned that this hasn’t prevented her from facing awkward moments.

“On several occasions, someone has walked in while I’m breastfeeding, fully covered, and they’ll say, ‘Oh I’m sorry,’” she recounted. “And I reply, ‘I don’t understand what we’re apologizing for; you haven’t seen anything.’”

“I will say it helps that I’m a proud member of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee, so it’s quite tricky to see a breast past a child’s head anyway,” she remarked. “But I stay covered because that’s my choice. Not every woman feels that way, and that’s perfectly fine.”
