Chris Martin of Coldplay Addresses Jumbotron Controversy

Even Chris Martin was taken aback by what appeared on the jumbotron during a recent Coldplay concert.

While performing at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, on Wednesday, July 16, the Grammy-winning artist, 48, seemed surprised when two audience members were allegedly caught in a compromising situation.

“Wow, check out these two. Alright, come on. You’re fine,” he remarked in a fan video as a man and woman quickly concealed their identities and attempted to avoid the camera. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very bashful. I’m not exactly sure how to react.”

As the camera shifted to other concertgoers in banana costumes, Martin shared one last remark about the spectacle he had just observed.

“Holy smokes,” he continued. “I hope we didn’t cross any lines.”

In an unexpected twist, Byron is allegedly married to another woman identified by multiple sources as Megan Kerrigan Byron—not Cabot.

Us Weekly has reached out to Astronomer and both executives for their remarks.

While some online detectives found Megan’s Facebook profile and sent her kind messages, the account has since been deactivated.

Last November, Byron publicly announced Cabot’s appointment as Astronomer‘s new Chief People Officer, a company dedicated to empowering data teams to enhance software, analytics, and AI capabilities.

“At Astronomer, our employees are our greatest asset in helping customers leverage their data for a competitive edge,” Byron stated in a press release. “Kristin’s remarkable leadership and expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be vital as we continue our rapid growth. She has proven her mettle at various growth-stage companies, and her commitment to fostering diverse, collaborative environments makes her an excellent fit for Astronomer.”

Post her hiring, Cabot expressed that she felt “energized” by her discussions with Byron throughout the recruitment process.

As she shared, “I was energized by my conversations with Andy and the Astronomer leadership team regarding the possibilities that lie ahead.”

While neither party has publicly addressed the viral incident, Martin is demonstrating that the show must go on.

Coldplay’s next concert is set for Saturday, July 19, at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin.
