Pete Davidson’s Family: Get to Know His Mom, Sister, and More
Pete Davidson has always been dedicated to his family.
The comedian developed a close-knit bond with his mother, Amy Waters, and sister, Casey Davidson, following the tragic death of his father, Scott Davidson, a New York City firefighter who lost his life during the September 11th attacks. In fact, Pete’s film from 2020, The King of Staten Island, serves as a tribute to his family’s journey after Scott’s passing.
“I created a tribute to my mom and dad, and I finally confronted these issues I had been avoiding for so long,” Pete, who was only 7 when he lost his father, shared with CBS Sunday Morning upon the movie’s release. “I wanted this to be therapeutic. I finally had the chance to tell my story in a significant way, so I feel ready to move on.”
Now, Pete, who has expressed his desire to become a father for years, is expecting his first child with his girlfriend Elsie Hewitt. The actress revealed the news in a July 2025 Instagram post, featuring various photos and videos of them together. One clip captured the couple during an ultrasound appointment.

Amy Waters
Pete has been vocal about his strong bond with his mother. After his breakup with Ariana Grande in 2018, he moved in with Amy and Casey as an adult.
“We bought a house together, but nobody believes that,” he revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2019. “I live with my mom, somewhat; I have a basement that feels like an apartment, so I live below her, setting up a little arcade down there to make it my own.”
Although Pete moved out of their Staten Island home in April 2021, he remains close to his mom. The two appeared together in a 2023 Smartwater commercial and were seen enjoying a Brooklyn Nets game together in New York in November 2024.
Scott Davidson
Scott began his career as a firefighter in 1994 with Ladder Company 118. He was on duty during the September 11 attacks and lost his life alongside his unit when the Twin Towers fell.

The loss of his father profoundly impacted Pete, who has shared that he acted out in school due to the trauma. He once faced a period of pulling out all his hair and experiencing suicidal thoughts, but he found solace in stand-up comedy as a way to cope.
“I had a really difficult childhood, and the worst thing imaginable happened to me when I was seven,” Pete told People in April 2025.
Casey Davidson
Casey, who is three years younger than Pete, works as a PA-C at Lenox Hill Neurosurgery according to her Instagram. Pete has made occasional appearances in her posts, including a 2019 picture where she celebrated wrapping up filming on The King of Staten Island.
“That’s a wrap!!! Proud sister,” she captioned the post.
Elsie Hewitt
Pete and Elsie were spotted together several times in March 2025 before Us Weekly confirmed their relationship. They made their red carpet debut at the Endometriosis Foundation of America’s annual fundraising gala that May.
Pete’s 1st Child
Elsie announced their pregnancy via an Instagram post on July 16, 2025.
“Well, now everyone knows we had sex,” she humorously captioned the carousel.
A source exclusively told Us that Pete is “thrilled about this new chapter.”
