Summer House Stars Reenact Astronomer CEO’s Kiss Cam Controversy

Summer House stars Jesse Solomon, Kyle Cooke, and Carl Radke are joining the online community in poking fun at former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his notorious kiss cam incident at a recent Coldplay concert.

“Bloody shy #coldplayconcert,” fellow Summer House castmate Westling “West” Wilson captioned a TikTok video posted on Friday, July 18, that recreated the moment Byron was spotted with his arms around his former employee and HR chief Kristin Cabot — despite both being married to other people — at the concert.

In the clip, Carl has his arms around Kyle as Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin addresses the crowd during the concert on Wednesday, July 16, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

As Martin speaks, the duo channels their best impressions by acting like the startled couple who immediately tries to hide from the cameras after being caught on the concert’s kiss cam for everyone to see.

Jesse plays the embarrassed friend, wearing an awkward smile throughout the entire incident.

“Jesse as the giggling friend really makes sense,” one fan commented.

“It was generous of Kyle to let Carl pretend he’s CEO,” another user shared.

“The roles were cast perfectly,” gushed another fan, while someone else added, “This re-enactment deserves a solid 10/10.”

Days after the then-CEO went viral with the kiss cam moment, Byron resigned from his position.

“Astronomer is dedicated to the values and culture we’ve upheld since our inception. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in conduct and accountability, and that standard was not met recently,” a spokesperson for Astronomer told Us Weekly in a statement on Saturday, July 19. “Andy Byron has submitted his resignation, which the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive while Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy serves as interim CEO.”

The statement continued, “Before this incident, we were renowned as pioneers in the DataOps sector, assisting data teams in powering everything from modern analytics to production AI. While the awareness of our company may have changed drastically overnight, our product and dedication to our customers remain unchanged. We will continue to excel in solving our customers’ most significant data and AI challenges.”

Byron joined Astronomer — a platform for data orchestration and observability — as CEO in 2023, after previously serving as president of tech company Lacework from 2019 to 2022. He personally announced Cabot’s hiring as Astronomer’s new Chief People Officer in November 2024. (Cabot had previously held a similar position at the graph database management company Neo4.)

“At Astronomer, our people are our most valuable asset in helping customers gain a competitive advantage with their data,” Byron stated. “Kristin’s exceptional leadership and expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be vital as we continue our rapid growth. She is a proven leader in multiple growth-stage companies and her passion for fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces makes her an ideal fit for Astronomer.”
During her hiring at Astronomer, Cabot specifically mentioned Byron for their “energizing” conversations throughout the process.
