Sabrina Carpenter’s makeup artist detailed how the glam for the singer is achieved.
Following Carpenter’s, 25, appearance on the cover of Vogue’s March 2025 issue, makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez shared insights with the publication on how she crafts the singer’s signature appearance.
Gonzalez takes an unconventional approach by prepping Carpenter’s skin first, applying blush and her lip combination before completing the eye makeup.
“Molding her makeup by starting with her cheeks and lips sparks my creativity for her eyes,” Gonzalez explained. “I prefer to see her natural look before applying full glam to ensure everything harmonizes.”
Carpenter’s signature look includes a sun-kissed complexion, radiant rosy cheeks paired with sharp contouring, lined mauve lips, and a highlight in her inner corners.
Gonzalez cited inspiration from Alberto Vargas’ paintings, aiming for a “watercolor, sensual, feminine, and universally flattering” effect.
To achieve a dewy skin finish, Gonzalez uses Hailey Bieber’s Glazing Milk fluid, Cosrx Advanced Snail Mucin Power Sheet Mask, 111Skin Cryo Revitalising Moisturiser, and Matcha Dewy Skin Cream.

For Carpenter’s renowned “angelic” cheeks, Gonzalez blends several products, such as Saie’s Dew Blush in Baby and Merit’s Flush Balm cheek tint. “I aim to maintain a pastel and pink aesthetic,” Gonzalez remarked.
“There’s a distinct romantic quality, yet everything is softly blended without harsh lines.” A touch of Aquaphor highlights her facial points, along with Chanel’s Baume Essential Glow Stick.
When it comes to Carpenter’s “pouty lips,” Gonzalez enjoys combining Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Cheat Lip Liner with Make Up For Ever’s Endless Cacao liner for a contoured effect. She then blends Mac Cosmetics’ Locked Kiss 24 Hour Lipstick with Prada’s Monochrome Soft Matte pigment.
Carpenter, famed for her “vixen eyes with fluffy lashes,” frequently opts for Dior’s Backstage Eyeshadow Palette, which includes a balanced mix of shimmering tones and earthy neutrals. Gonzalez further enhances her captivating eyes with Urban Decay’s navy blue 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil, Victoria Beckham Beauty’s mascara, and Velour stick-on lash clusters.
