Aaden Gosselin Reflects on His Experience Filming the Family’s Reality Show

Kate Gosselin involved son Aaden in her recent TikTok livestream, where they fondly recalled their time filming Jon & Kate Plus 8 together as a family.

“I’d love to see my reaction to our show, honestly,” Kate, 50, stated in the live clip, which she posted to her TikTok account one week later, on Thursday, August 21. “I would just cry the entire time.”

Kate and her ex-husband Jon Gosselin showcased their life with eight children on their TLC series from 2007 to 2009. After their 2009 divorce, they became parents to twins Mady and Cara, both 24, and sextuplets Hannah, Alexis, Leah, Joel, Aaden, and Collin, all now 21.

In her latest social media post, Kate specifically asked Aaden about his cherished memories from the show.

“What’s my favorite memory?” Aaden responded. “Probably any time we went to Wyoming. That was really enjoyable.”

While Aaden shared few words during the livestream, Kate revealed more about his character.

“He’s very laid-back. He’s just a chill guy,” she noted, mentioning that she occasionally “slips” and refers to her 21-year-olds as “the little kids,” much like she did on TV. “I do sometimes slip, but it’s not intentional. You know what I mean?”

Following Kate and Jon’s separation, the TLC series was renamed Kate Plus 8 and chronicled Kate’s journey as a single mother. She now has an estranged relationship with son Collin.

“Unfortunately, it’s just something I find challenging to discuss,” Collin mentioned in a TikTok video on Wednesday, August 20. “As you can see, I don’t post much on Instagram or TikTok. I’m still working on finding my groove, but I love sharing my videos with you all.”

Kate and Jon Gosselin’s children are officially adults! On Sunday, May 11, Kate posted a collection of photos on Instagram featuring four of their sextuplets — Alexis, Aaden, Leah, and Joel — as they celebrated their 21st birthday. “And just like that, they turned 21! He added, “I view it more as moving forward and sharing content. Unfortunately, I don’t talk to my siblings, and I really wish we did so they could know me better because we’re not really familiar with each other at all.”

Years after Jon and Kate’s divorce, Collin and Hannah decided to live with their dad while the rest of the siblings moved to North Carolina with Kate. All eight kids are now living independently in their early adulthood.

“[The sextuplets] are attending college closer to home, which is great,” Kate mentioned in a recent TikTok video, comparing it to Mady and Cara’s earlier experiences. “It has been easier since they can come home on weekends. It doesn’t feel so final. By then, I already had the experience of kids leaving home.”
