Aaron Carter’s Son Prince Makes His Red Carpet Debut: Family Photos
Aaron Carter and Melanie Martin became parents to their son, Prince, just a year prior to the pop star’s untimely passing at age 34.
The artist known for “Aaron’s Party” and his then-fiancée welcomed their child in November 2021 following an emergency C-section. The couple publicly announced their relationship in January 2020 and got engaged that June. After a breakup in 2021, they briefly reconciled, with Carter sharing exclusively with Us Weekly how fatherhood shifted his perspective on his relationship with the Bulgaria native.
“It’s all a wonderful blessing because I’ve been through many relationships, and I started to lose faith in love. I had been thinking about starting a family years ago,” Carter reflected in December 2021. “I [longed] to be at home and enjoy the love of my life and my child. Now that it’s here, it feels like a revelation. … I’ve really shifted my mindset. I’ve given many people second and third chances, as evidenced by what we went through.”
However, just two months later, he and Martin parted ways again.
Us confirmed in November 2022 that Carter tragically passed away at his residence in California. The coroner’s report indicated he drowned in a bathtub as a result of difluoroethane and alprazolam. His death has been ruled accidental.
In a heartfelt tribute shared on social media, Martin expressed her grief: “Goodnight to my soulmate love of my life. RIP 💔.” She added, “Tonight, I imagine myself laying on your tattooed chest as I fall asleep just like I did for 3 years.”
After posting several pictures of Carter with their son, the model shared another message: “I’ll never be the same.”
