Andy Cohen Responds to Jen Shah’s Potential Return to RHOSLC Before Her Early Release

Jen Shah is set to make her reality TV comeback sooner than anticipated by her fans.

In November 2025, it was announced that the The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum will be released from prison on December 10, 2025, having completed just two and a half years of her six-and-a-half-year sentence.

“Everyone is incredibly thankful for the BOP’s decision, especially since it allows Jen to be with her family for the holidays,” stated Shah’s manager, Chris Giovanni, in a comment to People. “This is a gift she truly appreciates.”

According to her manager, Shah is in a “really positive, hopeful place mentally” as the countdown to her release begins.

From reality TV breakdowns to fraud allegations, Coach Sharrieff Shah has remained by Jen’s side throughout. Fans first met the couple when The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City premiered in late 2020, but they actually met in the ’90s at The University of Utah. “We had a class […]

“She has done significant reflection and real growth during her time away, and she’s genuinely not the same woman as before. Her focus now is on her family and creating a healthier, more grounded life,” the statement continued. “She recognizes the gravity of her past mistakes and looks forward to moving past this chapter to reveal the woman she has worked hard to become.”

Original cast members Heather Gay and Whitney Rose have shown reluctance to have Shah return to the series.

“I don’t think we need her back,” Rose remarked to Us Weekly in December 2024. “I would prefer Monica [Garcia] over Jen.”

In a separate interview with Access Hollywood in August 2025, Gay elaborated, “I don’t communicate with Jen, and I’m not involved in those decisions.”

Meredith Marks, however, appears open to the idea of filming with Shah again — provided she has genuinely changed for the better.

“Accountability is crucial in our circle,” Marks stated to People in November 2024. “If she acknowledges her mistakes and shows remorse, it matters. If she takes responsibility and does what’s necessary to improve, that’s the best she can do at this moment.”

What Have Bravo Executives Said About Jen Shah Returning?

At BravoCon 2025 in November 2025, Bravo and Peacock Unscripted chairman Frances Berwick was questioned about the possibility of Shah’s return to the Real Housewives franchise.

Berwick emphasized that accountability and a visible positive transformation can make a significant difference.

However, when comparing Shah’s situation to Karen Huger’s 2024 DUI arrest, Berwick noted to Variety that Shah’s case is less forgivable. “But again,” she added, “I have no insight into the level of accountability.”

In September 2025, an audience member at Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen caught host Andy Cohen during a Q&A session.

When a viewer inquired about the likelihood of Shah or Garcia returning to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Cohen responded, “Jen Shah — I never want to see again.”

In December 2025, Cohen reaffirmed his stance against welcoming Shah back to the Bravoverse. “She’s not coming back to RHOSLC,” he stated on his SiriusXM radio show. “I don’t think there’s any chance Bravo will work with her again. Can we please put a period at the end of the sentence?”

What Has Jen Shah Said About Her Future on Reality TV?

In 2020, Shah was among the original cast members that launched The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Cameras were filming when she was arrested during season 2. Her last appearance was in season 3 after she pleaded guilty to money laundering and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

Although Shah has not publicly shared her thoughts on a potential return to reality TV after prison, she has criticized how the The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast referred to her during season 4 when she wasn’t filming.

“It’s clear the show can’t function without me since I was mentioned consistently throughout season 4,” she commented via Instagram in January 2024. “Andy is still upset that I turned down his one-on-one interview.”
