Ariana Grande Stuns in Vintage Dress Previously Worn by Catherine Deneuve
Ariana Grande dazzled at the 2025 Oscars Nominees Dinner in a remarkable vintage gown.
The 31-year-old artist turned heads in a bubblegum pink-and-black Yves Saint Laurent dress, a part of the brand’s haute couture collection from 1991, previously worn by Catherine Deneuve. The dress showcased an elegant blend of vibrant pink feathers along the bodice, flowing down to a black, pleated skirt adorned with a satin bow at her waist.
With styling by Mimi Cuttrell, Grande allowed the stunning dress to be the focal point, opting for minimal jewelry—just delicate pearl studs.
Makeup artist Michael Anthony achieved a natural look for Grande, featuring light foundation, contoured cheeks, and a hint of blush on her high points. Her makeup was completed with soft pink eyeshadow, voluminous lashes, and glossy lips, while her golden locks were elegantly styled in an updo.
After the event, Grande shared her experiences on Instagram, reflecting, “What a special evening to be part of and a true gift to feel celebrated and welcomed in this artistic community I adore. Thank you, @theacademy @academymuseum, for this honor; I am profoundly grateful.”
In the past, when Deneuve, now 81, donned the dress at the 1993 Oscars, she paired it with ruby-red heels, colorful drop earrings, and a bejeweled bracelet. The iconic French actress complemented her look with black eyeliner and dewy foundation, styling her caramel locks in bouncy curls parted to the side.

This year, Grande is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Glinda in Wicked. Meanwhile, her co-star Cynthia Erivo is nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role as Elphaba. The film is also nominated in several categories, including Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Original Score, Best Film Editing, Best Sound, Best Visual Effects, and Best Picture.
The Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, March 2. Fans can watch the ceremony live at 8 p.m. ET, and can also catch all the latest Oscars red-carpet fashion moments in real time on UsWeekly.com.
