Taylor Swift Flaunts $32K Timepiece at Ashley Avignone’s Birthday Celebration
Taylor Swift has just added an incredible piece to her watch collection.
On Saturday, December 28, Swift, 34, showcased a stunning watch while embracing her stylist and longtime friend Ashley Avignone at Avignone’s birthday celebration. The Cartier piece, priced at $32,200, boasts a white face adorned with black Roman numerals encircled by delicate diamonds, all housed in a gold case with a matching band.
Despite not being widely recognized for wearing watches, Swift accentuated this elegant timepiece with a black sweater and her signature glam look featuring black winged eyeliner and cherry red lips. Her blonde hair was styled down in a beautiful blowout, completing her outfit.
Recently, Swift has been expanding her watch collection, having revealed a $54,000 timepiece at a Travis Kelce Kansas City Chiefs game in November.
Sarah Chapelle, author of Taylor Swift Style: Fashion Through the Eras, has closely analyzed Swift’s fashion for over 13 years. On Instagram, she shared her insights on December 30, noting the singer’s new venture into watch-wearing.
“In the past year, Taylor has greatly enhanced her jewelry collection, experimenting with stacking necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. However, watches seem to be a brand new arena for her,” she wrote, alongside a picture of Swift. “As far back as I can remember, the only instance of Taylor engaging with watches was when they were integrated into other accessories, like turning a watch face into a necklace pendant.”
As Chapelle pointed out, Swift wore a watch face on a choker during the 2024 Grammys in February. The watch was set at 12:00 a.m., a nod to her album that won multiple Grammys, Midnights. This custom piece, originally a Concord watch face, was adorned with black diamonds by Lorraine Schwartz.
Swift paired the choker with a Schiaparelli gown, which made a reappearance in her Tortured Poets Department “Fortnight” music video featuring Post Malone. She also sported a similar version of the dress during her Eras Tour, performing songs from her TTPD album.
