Behind the Scenes of Kaylor Martin and Liv Walker’s Friendship Split on Love Island

Once upon a time, Love Island USA stars Kaylor Martin and Liv Walker seemed destined to be lifelong friends.

Having met on the Peacock reality series in 2024, both Kaylor and Liv found themselves single and eager to explore new connections upon leaving the villa.

Indeed, the adored duo formed a bond that left fans craving more of their adventures on reality TV.

“Honestly, I would never turn down an opportunity because Love Island introduced me to Kaylor and my best friend,” Liv exclusively shared with Us Weekly in August 2024. “Who knows? I might even step in as a bombshell.”

Kaylor chimed in, “The only condition for me to join any Love Island would be to partner up as bombshells with my best friend. Count me in! If I have to go in as an OG without my girl or the other way around, then it’s a no-go for me.”

A year after their television debuts, Kaylor and Liv found themselves reuniting on Love Island: Beyond the Villa. However, their friendship began to unravel under the scrutiny of cameras.

In a heartfelt January 2026 interview with Gia Giudice, Kaylor opened up about the fallout of their friendship and shared an update on their current situation. Keep reading for an unexpected twist:

Post filming and after Serena Page and Kordell Beckham won Love Island USA season 6, Kaylor struggled with life in the limelight. Thankfully, she had Liv by her side.

“I had my best friend, someone who experienced the same journey, so it was amazing,” she recounted during the January 11, 2026 episode of iHeartRadio’s “Casual Chaos” podcast. “Then, once we moved to Los Angeles, we both got our own places and a situation arose with the cameras that truly hurt me because I can’t stand dishonesty.”

Kaylor mentioned that Liv allegedly misrepresented a camera sent by a brand intended for shared content creation.

When they agreed to film Love Island: Beyond the Villa with their season 6 castmates, Kaylor inquired if Liv would be getting glammed up.

“I have no clue what to wear,” she recalled on the “Casual Chaos” podcast during their initial shoot days. “Am I supposed to get my hair and makeup done? I’m unsure what the vibe is for our first day on set.”

According to Kaylor, Liv claimed she wouldn’t be getting glam but arrived looking professionally styled.

“It’s not a big deal anymore; we’ve moved on,” Kaylor reflected on the podcast. “However, we did have arguments on the show due to everything going on.”
