Britney Spears Exits Instagram Amid Kevin Federline Memoir Controversy

Britney Spears has deactivated her Instagram account amid an ongoing dispute with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

A message appeared on Spears’ account on Sunday, November 2, stating, “The profile you’re looking for doesn’t exist.”

Us has reached out to a spokesperson for Spears for further information.

This deactivation follows a series of controversial remarks made by Federline regarding Spears’ behavior while parenting their two sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19.

The news emerges just days after a restaurant manager informed Us that the singer was not behaving erratically during a dinner outing in Westlake Village, California, despite a report from Daily Mail asserting the opposite.

Additionally, an Instagram video posted by Spears on October 7 raised concerns as she appeared with visible bruises on her arms and bandages on her wrists.

In her caption, Spears discussed how she had “fallen down stairs” at a friend’s home and offered insight into her mental state, stating, “My boys had to leave and go back to Maui. This is my way of expressing myself and praying through art … father who art in heaven. I’m not here for concern or pity; I just want to be a good woman and improve … and I do have wonderful support, so have a brilliant day!!!”

Regarding the stair incident, Spears remarked, “It was horrible. It snaps out now and then, not sure if it’s broken but for now it’s snapped in!!! Thank you, God.”

Her restaurant visit occurred just a day after Federline released his memoir, You Thought You Knew. The book includes several damaging claims, and Federline has been promoting it while discussing his allegations.

The Daily Mail reported that on October 22, Spears and her assistant had dinner at a Mexican restaurant before she “dangerously” sped back home to Thousand Oaks. However, Oliver Wynn, the restaurant’s general manager, told Us that the recount was not “fair, realistic, or true.”

Wynn stated, “I was there and attended to Britney and her friend. She was super chill and really nice. She was in and out of the restaurant within an hour. She just kind of hung out, grabbed a bite to eat, and left.”

Wynn also mentioned that Spears sat in the restaurant’s lounge area, where she ordered “a quesadilla and no alcohol.” He added, “Another guest or fan bought her a glass of wine at the bar and brought it over to her table — she was not intoxicated.”

Following the restaurant outing, Federline appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored, claiming that Preston and Jayden have distanced themselves from their mother. “[Britney] saw one of my sons one day this year, and he decided not to go back over there because of what he saw,” he told the host. “The other one, Jayden, who’s my younger son, is 19 now. He’s been over there quite a few times over the past year, and he’s stopped seeing her in the last few months because of the situation.”

Federline’s memoir also alleged that Spears, who was married to him from 2004 to 2007, used cocaine while breastfeeding, among other accusations. In a statement shared with Us ahead of the book’s launch on October 14, Spears condemned the allegations, saying, “With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her, and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin. All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism.”
