Celebrity Exes Who Co-Parent Their Pets After Splits

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick welcomed golden retrievers Ramen and Pinot before their engagement in 2021. They announced their breakup in August 2023, but agreed to co-parent the dogs.

“Our dogs will still be raised together as siblings. Although their humans are no longer a couple, we will continue to love and care for them jointly,” Bristowe and Tartick shared in an Instagram post.

A year later, Bristowe opted to forgo shared custody after noticing the dogs seemed “anxious” about moving between homes.

“What I realized is that when we shared custody, the dogs became very scared and uncomfortable, not knowing where they were going next,” she explained during a September 2024 episode of her “Off the Vine” podcast. “This isn’t directed at anyone; it happens in either home.”

Bristowe emphasized her willingness to allow Tartick to visit Ramen and Pinot.

“I’m prioritizing the well-being of the dogs,” Bristowe stated. “He is always welcome to visit them when he’s in town for the weekend or if he wants to take them for a walk. I would never keep them from anyone.”
