Christina Hall and Ex Josh Hall Appear in ‘The Flip Off’ HGTV Sneak Peek Clip
Fans are getting a glimpse into the dynamic between Christina Hall and her ex-spouse, Josh Hall, in a new clip released by HGTV, showcasing their collaboration on her forthcoming series, “The Flip Off.”
In the preview clip, Josh Hall is seen scolding Christina while driving. The scene opens with Josh reminding Christina that they are competing and that he’ll do whatever is necessary to secure a victory.
Christina Hall, noticeably avoiding engagement or eye contact, remains silent when he insists she repeat the phrase “Halls rule!”
“You’re meant to say it with me or at least echo it to show you’re on my side,” he expresses, clearly frustrated. “Remember, you’re a Hall now. Don’t lose track of your last name in this competition.”
When Christina doesn’t reply again, he accuses her of being “rude.”
At this point, Christina explains that she doesn’t “over-talk,” which elicits a stern reaction from him.
“Yeah, the things you say make me wish you’d just be quiet already,” he retorts, causing Christina to release a heavy sigh.
“My wife’s annoying me already,” he adds.
Christina is then heard asking, “Are we there yet?”
The clip shifts to Christina reuniting with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, with whom she has two children, Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9, as she informs him that she and Josh Hall have “officially” ended their relationship.
After viewing the exchange between the former couple, many fans expressed relief that the two chose to separate, extending their support to Christina Hall.
“Christina you deserve SO much better than him, glad he’s out of your life,” one fan remarked with a heart emoji.
“This is painful to watch. 😢 The way he addresses her breaks my heart. Sending lots of love to @thechristinahall,” another user expressed, accompanied by several heart emojis.
Tarek El Moussa’s current wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, also shared her thoughts on the clip.
“Not everyone is cut out for the reality—plain and simple,” she commented, using a shrug emoji.
In July 2024, Josh Hall filed for divorce from Christina Hall after nearly three years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason, as per court documents obtained by TODAY.com.
The couple was meant to feature together in “The Flip Off” alongside the El Moussas. Christina Hall shared with “Entertainment Tonight” in November that they “only filmed together a handful of times and it was not enjoyable.”
“I really disliked filming with him. Having gone through the split made this situation, to be honest, significantly easier and much better in every aspect,” she added.
HGTV previously released another clip from the series, featuring Christina in tears as she confides in Tarek El Moussa about the conclusion of her relationship. “The Flip Off” premieres on January 29.
