Colman Domingo from “Euphoria” Opens Up About the Loss of His Parents

Euphoria star Colman Domingo shared his journey to success in his career, reflecting on the absence of his parents during this pivotal time.

In an exclusive clip from the Tuesday, June 9 episode of Fox’s Bear Grylls Is Running Wild, Domingo candidly discusses the lack of support from his mother and father.

“I literally got emotional [but] I do believe that they are with me,” Domingo shares. “You do it for them too. I feel like they’re soaring alongside me — all the time.”

The actor has always known that his mother and stepfather, who both passed away in 2006, were proud of his achievements.

“Especially during moments like this. I come from inner-city West Philadelphia, so to be here, I never want to take this for granted,” Domingo adds. “I appreciate it and think, ‘Mom, check out where this light continues. Look at how love can elevate you.’”

He further expressed, “I’m going to leave it to spirit. I want to trust in it, knowing my parents are right there with me.”

“This is different from a talk show where you sit on a couch and there’s a performance for three minutes. Nature does my job for me,” Grylls explained to Fox and Friends in April. “It opens people up. Many of these stars want the experience that only the wild can offer.”

Grylls also shared his insights.

“Deep down, everyone is just a regular person,” he remarked. “I admire their willingness to step out of their comfort zone. That commitment is what leads to success.”
