Diddy’s Former Assistant Alleges He Had to Manage the Aftermath of Raucous ‘King Nights’

Phil Pines, a former assistant to Sean “Diddy” Combs, opened up about his purported experiences with the rapper in the recent Investigation Discovery docuseries The Fall of Diddy.

Pines made his on-camera debut during the fifth episode of the series, which aired on Tuesday, January 28.

“I felt compelled to share my story to ensure that Sean Combs and others like him cannot continue to harm anyone else,” Pines expressed to journalist Mara S. Campo. “It’s difficult to be here discussing these experiences, especially because he was someone I admired.”

Pines, who served as Diddy’s executive assistant from December 2019 to December 2021, filed a lawsuit against the music mogul last month. Diddy’s legal team responded to the filing in a statement to Us, asserting: “No matter how many lawsuits are initiated, it won’t alter the reality that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone — whether male or female, adult or minor. We exist in a society where anyone can launch a lawsuit for any purpose. Fortunately, a just and unbiased judicial system is in place to uncover the truth, and Mr. Combs is confident he will succeed in court.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a lawsuit from former employee Phillip Pines, who alleges involvement in “Wild King Nights” with the controversial music mogul. The lawsuit, acquired by Variety on Monday, December 23, described the purported “Wild King Nights” as evenings characterized by Diddy, 55, engaging in sex, drugs, and more.

Pines reiterated several of his accusations in The Fall of Diddy, including claims that he had to clean hotel rooms after the infamous “wild king nights.” (Pines stated that he only referred to Diddy’s parties as wild king nights and was unaware of the term “freak off” until after his tenure.)

According to Pines, he would receive text messages instructing him to come to a room for “emergency cleanup.” When Campo inquired about the meaning of that phrase, Pines elaborated.

“It meant that he had trashed the hotel room,” he alleged. “That was one of the hardest tasks for me. Walking in to find the destruction—stains, bodily fluids, used condoms, baby oil, and half-used Astroglide oozing down the sides of the bottle—it was horrific. There were often stains on the furniture and sheets that we needed to clean. One can only imagine the events that unfolded. It was revolting.”

Pines revealed that he now experiences a strong reaction to the smell of baby oil, a trigger from his years of service to Diddy, 55.

“It’s somewhat triggering for me because the scent of baby oil is something I never want to smell again,” he explained. “I’m not kidding; the floor would be so slick with baby oil that you could easily slip. Baby oil would surround the bathtub, and when you reached in to unplug it, you could feel the oil mingling with the water.”

Following Diddy’s homes being raided in March 2024, investigators reported seizing various “Freak Off” supplies, including narcotics and over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant. After Diddy’s indictment in September 2024, which included the baby oil details, his attorney Marc Agnifilo defended his client by saying that he often “buys in bulk.”

“He has a big house,” Agnifilo explained to TMZ. “I believe they have Costcos near all of his residences.”

Later in the interview, Pines alleged that Diddy pressured him to engage in a wild king night by having sex with a female guest.

“I believe that day significantly impacted my life, and I haven’t fully recovered,” Pines shared with Campo. “On that particular occasion, Diddy had been drinking all day… he was clearly out of his mind. You could recognize it; he was in what we called ‘rare form.’ I remember him saying the words, ‘Prove your loyalty to me, king.’”

Sean “Diddy” Combs was indicted on charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering on Tuesday, September 17, just one day after his arrest in New York. A 14-page indictment released details numerous accusations against the rapper, stating that Diddy “abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him.” Some of the allegations include […]

Pines alleged that Diddy then provided him with “a quick massage like a coach gives a player on the verge of entering the game” before handing him a condom and directing him towards a guest seated on the couch.

“I was frozen and confused about what was unfolding,” Pines recounted. “In that moment, I was thinking, ‘What? Is this entertaining for him? Is it a test? Does he even realize what he’s doing? Is he that far gone?’ I was at a loss on how to respond. The guest gave me consent, nodding her head. I participated briefly and then left as soon as Diddy was out of my line of sight.”

When asked why he didn’t refuse Diddy, Pines stated he feared the repercussions of resisting.

“I had heard of previous employees being physically attacked,” he claimed. “I witnessed how furious and upset he could become over the smallest issues. I thought, ‘If I don’t comply, who knows what might occur?’”

After the incident, Pines admitted to feeling a deep sense of remorse but didn’t initially share what had occurred. “I wanted to confide in someone, but there was too much at risk,” he recalled. “I understood that revealing this would trigger a major fallout. I concealed it from everyone, including my partner, family, and fellow employees.”

Diddy’s legal team countered the docuseries’ assertions in a statement to producers, declaring, “Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone. … We reside in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any motive. Thankfully, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to uncover the truth, and Mr. Combs believes he will emerge victorious in court.”

Diddy is currently incarcerated awaiting trial following his arrest in September 2024 on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has denied all allegations against him and pleaded not guilty to every charge.
