Dom Hetrakul from The White Lotus Discusses Belinda and Pornchai’s Future
The White Lotus actor Dom Hetrakul is uncertain about what transpired between his character Pornchai and Natasha Rothwell’s Belinda after season 3, but he does have some thoughts.
At 49, Hetrakul portrays Pornchai, a staff member at the White Lotus resort in Thailand, for the third season of the acclaimed Max series. In an exclusive conversation with Us Weekly on April 24 during Jim Thompson’s event celebrating The White Lotus, alongside series creator Mike White and fellow cast members, he discussed the potential for a reunion between Pornchai and Belinda.
“I don’t know. I don’t know,” he shared with Us, adding that Belinda has the capacity to “make up her mind anytime.”
“There’s still a chance for a remarkable opportunity, what can I say?” Hetrakul expressed. “I mean, the issue lies within the relationship. It’s something you feel — and I apologize because even during the breakup, she said ‘I’m sorry’ a thousand times, even during their last glance and wave; it may signify an end but also a new beginning.”
In an exclusive chat with Us at the same event, Rothwell weighed in on which betrayal in The White Lotus she found more shocking: Belinda’s betrayal of Pornchai or Tanya’s (Jennifer Coolidge) betrayal of Belinda.
“Tanya to Belinda!” Rothwell declared, explaining, “She got treated poorly on her company’s dime and owed nothing to [Pornchai]. She didn’t make any promises and treated him with kindness.”
The actress also revealed to Us her ideal setting for The White Lotus season 4. Having taken place in Hawaii, Italy, and Thailand thus far, the next season’s location remains a mystery. “Africa as a continent, particularly Morocco,” Rothwell suggested. “I could see Egypt or South Africa.”
Rothwell added that if it were her choice, the next chapter of The White Lotus would be centered around a high school reunion.
“I have a special connection to high school and my experiences there,” Rothwell shared with Us, hinting that Belinda’s journey may not be completely over.
“I don’t believe she’s free at all,” Rothwell explained to Us. “She’s dealing with blood money, suggesting there’s unfinished business, but I also feel her story could be complete.”
She continued, “So, it’s really a fork in the road. It could go either way and the master of faith [White] is guiding us.”
